The room was small but set out well to maximise the space. Shower pressure was fantastic - all toiletries (soap, shampoo) supplied. Air conditioning worked very well. The sheets in this place were worth a mention - so soft and comfortable. The rooftop area was cool - pool, steam room, gym, bar, little restaurant - nice seating area. The hotel offers a free afternoon tea, coffee, fruits, small cakes. Breakfast - whilst plenty on offer - mainly left overs of night before meals, with an egg station and pho - honestly did not go too much on the breakfast. Endless cafe and restaurants, shopping centre - all close by. All the staff were helpful and friendly. Most of the tourist sites are all within walking distance as well (Cathedral, Book Street, Post Office, War Remnants Museum. Breakfast - juice options more a cordial than juice, left over food options not really breakfast options. Bread dried out.

Staff, breakfast, room A minor quibble: We asked a couple of times to have room service dishes cleared - even though they came to turn bed, they left dirty dishes.

This was our final destination on a 2 week trip to Vietnam, and it was overall a nice stay but did not exceed our expectations. The design of the hotel was really pretty, and I appreciated the details and history of Vietnamese people. It was a creative concept that felt very considered! The room was large, had strong AC, and the bed was comfortable. We did not have a chance to swim because it was raining for a lot of our trip, but the covered rooftop lounge was really nice to relax in. The reception staff and housekeeping staff were nice and helpful. We had a cute swan and fresh flower setup for our anniversary upon arrival, and they were happy to answer questions and bring more towels when requested. I booked this hotel primarily for the location, which was great, both for calling a car when needed, and for walking around to the major locations. There is a lot of delicious street food all along the block and immediate areas, and some nice cafes and parks. It's about 15 minutes walking in every direction to anything you may need (good shopping, cool cafes, and galleries in one direction, Japantown and the major markets and tourist zone in the other). It's far enough from the tourist zone to feel calmer, but not too intimidatingly local or out of reach. We booked the room with the tub on the balcony, expecting that it would be secluded and a nice little romantic room, but the room was on the 2nd floor and overlooking a gas station and cafe lol. Would not have a bath there unless I wanted to put on a show, and even if we had considered it, the tub was clearly not clean. The room was generally clean, but there were what looked like bloody fingerprints on the phone and light switch??? We avoided touching them... Our hallway and room also had a smell the first few nights that had kind of a vague sewage odor. The food at this hotel was bad. We had breakfast the first day only, and then stuck to just fruit the rest of the trip. We stopped in for the afternoon tea on the first day and didn't eat any of the treats because they were very sad. The staff at breakfast was very inattentive. I accidentally spilled my coffee across the table and floor and everyone just kind of stood around and stared at me and didn't bring a towel so I just wiped it with napkins. I ordered eggs, and the chef made them but then just set them on the counter and didn't notify me that they were finished, or bring them over even though our table was steps away. There were several members of staff standing around, arms crossed or on their phones. The service here felt wildly lacking compared to excellent service across the rest of our trip at much more affordable hotels. They just didn't seem to care.

At first we were to check out at 1700HRS, we spoke to them and they said that it would be 10% off the room rate. There was a change in plans and our flight was pushed to 0100HRS so we made a booking for the extra night. Flight changed again and the original time was reinstated. We checked out before 1700HRS. They still refused to do waive off the cancellation charge for the room we booked through Booking.com even though they could have

The breakfast at this hotel was fantastic, and different every single day (we stayed 5 nights). Lovely to have new, fresh, and high quality ingredients each day. Staff are lovely, and the overall hotel is wonderful with a great pool & rooftop bar, as well as a serviceable gym, and great steam room. The gym is cramped and the equipment is a bit dated, but it was good enough for my basic purposes.

The only thing I could complain about is that the gym is outdoors and therefore very hot in the spring/summer, but you're not going there to work out

Room was small but comfortable. Breakfast was good with many options. High tea was fun and the bartender was very accommodating. Loved the location! The bidet in my room worked poorly.

Rooftop lounge Lack of windows and a connection to the outside world

Great location. Easy to walk to all the sites and plenty of nearby restaurants. Kitchen closed at noon? We wanted to have a light lunch on the property but there was nothing open. Dining room in the lobby was exclusively breakfast and other meals were only available in the open air rooftop which was quite hot and had limited seating.

My favorite hotel during my stay in Vietnam. Comfy beds, quiet, excellent breakfast and rooftop bar/pool, gym, steam room. Note to owners: it was the staff that truly made it special. This is where I’ll stay next time I come to HCMC.

Nothing it was all great.

Beautifully decorated lobby, functional and clean room, equipped with a shower with great water power. Good variety of breakfast, efficient and professional receptionists. Close to main tourist spots. Some of the staff members helping with afternoon tea aren't very friendly and aren't smiling at all. One elevator (plus the staff elevator) aren't sufficient to cater to all guests, waiting times can sometimes be quite long.

The staff (everyone) was wonderful. They welcomed us and made us feel at home. They even remembered us when we returned a week later (we stayed here 3 times over 5 weeks). Love working with the hosts. They were so sweet and very helpful. We appreciate everything they had done. Breakfast was good, but wish there were more vegetarian options. Love the coffee! This is a true 4-star hotel. Thank you! Regarding the closet, it would be nice if we could have more hangers in the closet. The closet smells a bit stale. We stayed in two different rooms and the closets smelled the same. Air refreshers would be great. Bathroom - more hooks to hang towels please. Regarding breakfast, I'm a vegetarian. I would like more vegetarian options please.

Comfortable well maintained hotel with easy walking distance to some major sites. Smaller breakfast provided but we enjoyed the pool and afternoon tea on the rooftop.

Friendly staff, went out of their way to be sure we had a take-away breakfast when we needed to leave before breakfast was served. They even included appropriate gluten free breakfast items for buy husband, who has celiac disease. The room was clean, but a bit small. The rooftop bar was a little disappointing. The milkshake was very small for what we paid for it.

My daughter and I visited HCMC for an impromptu stay and this hotel offered everything we needed... but nothing more. Staff were very helpful and rooms clean and comfortable. Nice compact pool area On reflection, for a short trip I would probably choose a more central hotel in District 1. Smart TV in rooms did not work. Nowhere easy to open bags or store clothes once bags open.
