Sakura Hostel Saigon

Nice staff. Helpful. Refunded my money due to bedbug complaints. No issues there. Bed bugs. At least two generations of them so probably not recent arrivals. I told the staff but talking to some other guests it seems no deep cleaning was made after i left. Someone complained about mold in one of the other rooms. Should give the place a proper cleaning.

The mattress

I couldn’t find Sakura Hotel though I was on the. alleyway street. Are they still open?

i arrived at 9am and left my stuff in reception waiting for check in. i went to explore the city and then they sent a text saying that if i don’t check in until 6pm they would cancel my booking. so confusing considering i already spoke with the staff and even had them check my reservation when i arrived. it just shows they don’t really have appreciation for their guests. also the social areas were no existing and the bathroom shower kept on clogging, leaving it completely flooded for hours.

Bed bug!!!

The alley is amazing. I enjoyed meeting people from different hostels and drinking coffee on the shade.

Nothing much. but you gotta access the property from the northern end of the alley as the southern end is blocked by the neighbours and there is a gate locked by them to shut out strangers.

Unbeatable price No bed bugs in my bed (#79). I saw other reviews about bed bugs but guess I was lucky. My matress was terrible and it had a big hole in the middle, my hips hurt all night long and didn't had good sleep. Maybe I was just unlucky, still the matress wasn't very good. Also the room had an ugly smell (#5, 3rd floor) With better matress, pillow and blanket I would rate it maybe 8 considering the low price.

Friendly and helpful staff, good location, and the price is very affordable. The place is generally clean and comfortable for a short stay.

Excellent in every way! Located down a quiet alley in the midst of the bustle (5min walk to Ben Thanh Market, Walking Street, restaurants, street food, cafes, shopping, etc.), 3 blocks from both the metro and international bus termini. Wonderful hosts, clean property, private beds, cold a/c. 10/10 would stay again.

The hostel is clean in a good place The staff did literally chased me out of the room , even if my stuff are in the room they just took it out and told me that someone is booking over, the thing is they even didn't send me message before taking out my stuff which I really find inappropriate and rude , the check out time is at 12 pm but they still did it at 12 am whiteout any prior contact with me

Location is fantastic, tour operators were able to pick me up with no issues. Food and things to drink were less than 3 mins away The showers in the restroom

I just used this place to keep my luggage and take a quick shower for transit. I left 19pm so didn’t stay all night. Very convenient option for me in terms of location and the price. Dormitory was dark in general, even there are lights in each cabin.

Exceptional

The property was in the city centre. The double rooms were spacious and clean. The owner and staff were rude. The owner was money minded and didn't accept the request to keep luggage in the lobby even for a minute after checkout. The staff was extremely rude and yelled at me when I requested help to bring my trolley from the third floor to the ground floor. The dormitory bathroom was not clean enough.

The place is nice, nice staffs, I asked the staffs to help me with the luggage and they are fine about it unlike some previous reviews ? Right now is no, I like this place and will comeback again

The locality is very good. Walkable to the city centre attractions. The private double room and its bathroom was spacious and clean as shown in the pictures. I got a nice sleep. There was not much noise in the night. I was planning to give it a higher rating because of the room and location, however due to the staff behaviour I have to reduce the rating. The owner and staff were rude. The owner didn't accept the request to keep luggage even in the lobby not even for a minute after checkout time. The staff shouted at me when I asked their help to bring my trolley from the third floor to reception. Then he was ramming my trolley harshly through the stairs and was yelling. The dormitory toilet was not clean.
