Anh Kim Hotel

The host was very friendly and the location was good. The A/C kept the room a very pleasant temperature and we had a window overlooking a vacant lot. The room was quite small and not very clean; the bathroom hadn’t even been wiped down and was full of water when we arrived. The shower drained across the entire bathroom floor, all the way to the door. Although we asked for extra towels and for them to be replaced so as not to be wading through water, they weren’t moved from outside our door. There were lots of mosquitos and ants in the room; we couldn’t tell where they were coming from as we kept the window closed.

Cheap in District 1 - room itself was clean if a bit beat up (curtains had tears) Plumbing issues were the only serious concerns, but they were substantial. Sink drain pipe wasn't connected to sink so the sink wasn't functional (brought to staff attention before checking in, so we knew what we were getting, but kind of surprised it didn't get fixed over the 2 night stay), hot water in the evening was lukewarm at best, and the shower fixture was loose and fell forward towards you if you touched it at all. Considering how cheap the hotel was, these issues were manageable, but it's a you-get-what-you-pay-for situation.

Within comfortable waking distance to central HCMC, CBD and Ben Than Markets, but also very near local bus route to these. Helpful and amiable owner.

The location is quite convenient, the hotel is located on the street front. The area is quite quiet at night. The room is also okay, worth the money nothing

Very good. I upgraded to a larger room with a panoramic window overlooking the street. The room was spacious, clean, and fully furnished The hotel has recently been renovated and has a new owner The staff are friendly and always help me with my luggage I will definitely come back Around 6 PM - 8 PM there is a bit of noise outside, the hotel is next to a restaurant. This is not a big problem for me

This place looks nothing like the pictures, advertises an hourly rate outside (you can guess what that means) the rooms are filthy, we found old noodles and a half smoked cigarette under our bed. The sheets are stained with holes in them, the mattress is rock hard with the springs digging into your back. The Pillows are lumpy and hard, and there are no windows in the room. I can't even describe the disgusting smell in the rooms which had obviously also been smoked in. I didn't even want to stay the night but we checked in after an overnight bus and had no choice. They tried to tell us they'd put us in a nicer room but the facilities were actually disgusting. I've stayed in some of the cheapest hostels in the world and this was by far the worst place I've ever stayed. You couldn't pay me to spend another night here, the 10/10 is clearly a fake review. We were made to pay for all nights in advance and they gave us the run around when we instantly came down and asked for a refund, the night staff was on the phone with the manager who was clearly trying to scam us into not getting a refund.
