Koi Resort and Spa Hoi An

This hotel has a lot of potential and visually promises a luxury experience, but the service simply does not deliver. While the staff is friendly, they are highly inefficient. For example, despite multiple pool bars, they were completely unstaffed—which is unacceptable given how many employees are around. The food and beverage quality is also lacking. The pool menu between 3 PM and 5 PM was highly disappointing; the chicken skewers were extremely dry and rubbery. ​The fitness center facilities also need serious attention. The AC was broken, and the water dispenser only provided hot water. When I asked the staff for bottled water, I was told no and simply pointed back to the hot water. Drinking warm water while sweating in a gym with no AC is the last thing you want. ​Furthermore, when we asked about the beach at the front desk, they failed to mention a massive construction site right in front of the hotel’s lounge chairs and umbrellas. No alternative walking path was suggested, and the beach itself looks nothing like the promotional photos on Booking. ​The hotel looks spotlessly clean, but management is clearly focusing on the wrong details. The priority needs to shift to guest service.

It was a great resort for our multi generational holiday

A beautiful getaway in Hoi An with a relaxing atmosphere made us feel entirely pampered. The resort was beautifully designed in a traditional way, but still clean, spacious, and comfortable. Landscaping and design were gorgeous, especially the tropical trees, lagoons, and koi ponds. While the resort had many guests, it never felt crowded. The staff were exceptional, available to assist whenever they could. I was traveling with a large multi-generational family and staff were extremely accommodating and hospital to our unique, occasionally even challenging, needs. Vian was especially helpful to our stay there and a gem within guest services. A highlight is the breakfast buffet with an impressive stations for bread and pastries, appetizer type foods, salad bar, yogurt and fruit bar, and coffee bar. Don't miss the SECOND room with hot traditional Vietnamese dishes rotating daily (Bun bo, banh beo, congee, tapioca dumplings) and made to order eggs. While some hotel spas are overrated, spa services here make you feel like a VIP. I also attended the spa with a hot stone massage and coconut scrub and felt amazing afterwards. The prices at the restaurants for lunch and dinner were a little high. I think this is understandable given the costs to run such a large resort.

The rooms can be more clean specially the floors.

Very clean rooms , great food on site .location was perfect , offering a quiet escape from the noise and bustle of Hoi AN. The free and regular shuttle bus was much appreciated , just a 10 mins ride. Also have a great pool and private part of Cui Dai beach oppposite . Staff are so helpful and cannot do enough to help .Gardens were so pretty and manicured . Difficult to leave it !!

The room was beautiful. It was very easy to get around. Love the pool area and breakfast was amazing! The villas could use some basic supplies like silverware and glassware.

The rooms were nice, and the resort is very unique as river flows through the resort. They checked us in early. Nice pool

The internal lake was smelly at low tide and had rubbish floating around in it

Ground floor of the villa was a bit awkward. Private pool was cold and I expected it to be more outdoors than it was. Other units had hammoks but not ours. The gym was really poor. Amazing location and view tho.

Overall, we had a great time staying in Koi and we highly recommend the place. The gym was pretty basic. They don’t serve coffee by request (cappuccino) in the breakfast, which is something that any other 5 star hotel we’ve been to in Vietnam does provide.

The property was well kept and the service was top notch. Very good value for money. We loved staying there.
