Lexen Hotel- Hollywood Walk of Fame/Universal Studios

Loved the parking and friendly & helpful front desk staff. Perfect for a HB night.

It’s obvious that ownership or management has changed. This hotel is in need of an update. Room had a bunch of minor damages. The old Blvd Hotel next door is now a building for the unhoused. The bed contained bed bugs. This hotel used to be my favorite in the Hollywood area. I will not stay here again.

The only downside was that the bed was quite low to the ground. My husband has had back surgery, so getting in and out of bed was a little challenging for him. Aside from that, we had a pleasant stay and would consider staying here again for future Hollywood Bowl events.

My wife and I attended a Hollywood Bowl concert. It was extremely convenient for us to walk to and from the bowl to the Lexen Hotel. Our car was safe and our hotel room was safe during our stay. We've stayed before and will continue to be guests at the Lexen Hotel in the future.

My family and I checked into the hotel on Saturday, June 13, 2026, and checked out on Tuesday, June 16, 2026. We have been loyal guests of this hotel and have stayed here at least once a year for several years. Until this incident, our experiences had always been positive. When we arrived at the front desk to check out, there were approximately ten guests waiting to check out and one guest waiting to check in. Several guests informed us that they had already been waiting for approximately 30 minutes and that no employee had been present at the front desk during that time. After waiting for some time, I found a telephone number and reached Manolo, a maintenance employee. He informed me that he works at the hotel only two days a week and that he was off that day, but he said he would contact a supervisor or manager regarding the situation. We continued to wait, and I later located another phone number. The individual who answered informed me that it was his day off, but he also said he would contact the manager so someone could address the situation. Approximately 40 minutes into our wait, another guest went outside to see if she could locate a hotel employee. She found an individual, later identified as an em, asleep in my personal vehicle. She knocked on the window to wake him. We learned the employee was responsible for staffing the front desk. It appears he had been asleep in my car with the engine running and air conditioner

It was close to the Hollywood Bowl Beds were low

Breakfast wasn’t an option but parking was reasonable and ice was provided upon request. Staff is exceptional

The front desk guy working on 6/15 at 10:30am went missing - they hold your keys due to double parking and we could not leave - the front desk guys was found sleeping in my friends car with it running! I can't make this up, there were 10 people waiting to check out and/or check-in and the guy was MIA. We called the police - we went through the desk drawers hoping to find a number to the owner/manager - anyone that could help us find the front desk guy so we could LEAVE! Finally, one of the guest started looking in the cars and he was found in the drivers seat, asleep, with the car on in my friends BMW. He woke up confused and with no explanation as to why he was asleep in her car and MIA for over 40 minutes. Will never stay here again - I also think it may be next store to a halfway house - there is noise and dogs barking all night.

Great location, walking distance to the Hollywood Bowl, onsite parking and great staff! One of the tvs was not working well.

The hotel had minimal towels, the staff was unfriendly, unhelpful, incompetent, uneducated, and unprofessional. The bathroom door handle was just hanging on, one screw is all it took to fasten it properly, and instead it came right off and cut my finger.

Could use a little "refresh," but if it's just a room to sleep in, it's perfectly fine. Highly recommend if you are attending a event at the Hollywood Bowl

Overall stay was good, but property could do with an overhaul. Staff were generally lovely, although there was a gentleman who was sitting behind the counter one day asleep! Facilities was dated and TV was limited in viewing options - first hotel I’ve stayed at that didn’t have streaming services available :(

Had a great one night stay at the Lexen. If you need a clean safe place to shower and rest your head Lexen is a good choice. It's centrally located and very close to the Hollywood Bowl. Staff we interacted with were very nice. Room was a bit worn but it was clean. Minimal amenities but an effort is made with their small snack to purchase area. Ease of self parking was a highlight for me. $200 security deposit will be held and $40 parking charge but that's to be expected in LA.
