Riptide Oceanfront Hotel

The room was clean. The view of the beach and Broadwalk was very nice. The windows need to be cleaned better. We did not use the oven because the door did not open properly. It may need to be replaced. Other than that our stay was enjoyable

Not a thing. The worst hotel experience I have ever had. I paid for the entire night and was given a key, but after going out for dinner, I accidentally lost it. When I returned, the front desk was completely closed. They provided an emergency number, but I called multiple times and left voice messages, and no one ever answered or responded. I had no choice but to spend the entire night sleeping in my car, despite having already paid for the room. I have traveled to many countries and have never experienced such a complete lack of customer service. Emergencies can happen, but there should always be someone available to assist guests. Absolutely horrible experience and extremely disappointing.

I could not get the group rate agreed upon for our event because I went through Expedia. But I loved the stay and would recommend this hotel to everyone. They are upgrading rooms I understand, a great beach setting for the whole family.

Nice staff ..good location .. I recently stayed at the Ripetide Oceanfront Hotel and Tiki Bar for 3 nights. I stayed in this hotel/motel 12 years ago for the first time and then 8 years ago. Back then I loved the ambience, beach front and that it was in the north end of the boardwalk. So I decided to bring my 6 year old grandson for the weekend. I must tell you how disappointed I was. So let’s start .. I was not expecting a 5 star hotel by any means. I’m realistic and understand that for the price point it was going to be a 3 star hotel at best. But what I found was so disappointing. I felt sad, disrespected and angry. The owner/ owners of this hotel should be ashamed. It is such a disrespect to their guests to keep this property in such poor condition. I will show you with pictures and descriptions of what I mean. I honestly feel that it would be better to upgrade the rooms and then charge more.

The rooms are clean. The beach view is awesome and they have a tiki bar with live music and the staff is very helpful and nice.

Great place to stay as long as you’re are not expecting anything fancy. Great location, loved being on the boardwalk and close to everything!

The location of this hotel is amazing - within 10 meters of the beach positioned on the Hollywood promenade!, Great Tikki bar onsite and very near shops and restaurants

The room was dirty, poorly maintained, and in much worse condition than advertised. The sofa bed was completely unusable and impossible to sleep on, making the room unsuitable for our family. We were so disappointed that we left shortly after arriving and paid for another hotel instead. We contacted the property to try to resolve the issue, but received no response. This was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences we've had. The listing does not accurately reflect the actual condition of the property. We cannot recommend staying here.

Nice clean place to stay.

It was old but very clean. The staff were very helpful. No pool and no daily maid service was a negative to me as well as the properties location on the boardwalk. I prefer to be closer to the action.

The location was great, the tiki bar was a fun highlight, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. The room felt outdated, and the mattress was extremely uncomfortable. I could feel the springs pressing into my back throughout the night, which made it difficult to sleep.

The room was situated perfectly right on the beach with an ocean view. There was a bar area where I ordered two drinks one for myself and one for my wife. The drinks were pina coladas where we paid a premium price $31 but they were terrible. Use premium liquor and that will change. The beds were not comfortable. Parking was convenient. There are several bars and restaurants in the area but a long walk for children.

A absolute blast for us midwesterners. Super friendly staff. Beach chairs in the closet for our use was awesome. Being on the walking path was super neat I told my wife it was like staying on Fremont st in Vegas. Beach right out front. Sargassum was better here then the next hotel we stayed at , I prefer the riptide over the fancy hotels , so much family fun was had here in a couple days. Would definitely go back. Happy the riptide had music/a band every night , lots of entertaining people watching. Pick this over the big dawgs imo for sure. Thank you riptide

Beach view was great. Staff was friendly. I was not aware of the extra for parking because we didn't have to pay extra 2 years ago when we stayed so that was a bummer. I also thought, like most motels, there would be a blow dryer so I didn't bring mine so it was a hat on my head most of the time.

Clean room. Staff provided extra ice when asked for. Beautiful view of ocean. We were on 2nd floor in rm 14. Breakfast items available on site for a fee. Outdoor restaurant for lunch and dinner service. Live music in afternoon but ends around 9pm for quiet nightly atmosphere. Located on Broadwalk for easy access to everything
