The Harrison Hotel Downtown Hollywood FL, an Ascend Collection Hotel

I would like to give the hotel a 10 rating. everything was great. The AC unit in the room could have been better.

The pictures advertised on Hotels.com are not at all what we saw. There were tons of ants in the lobby, the furniture in the room was all chipped & worn, the bathroom was not clean with hair in there, and there was rice on the bed, eyelashes (big fake ones on the floor) as well as an open bottle of hydration drink in there & the elevator was shaky.

Rooms were nice, clean. The parking was a bit of a challenge.

The location The car garage damaged my windshield and sunroof. Something was leaking from the pipes in the car garage and completely damaged my vehicle. I thought it was water leaking. However, I tried to clean it and I took it to the car wash and whatever is coming out of those pipes are damaging. The hotel is old and it needs complete restoration. The bathroom was falling apart. The shower was damaged and the water filled up while trying to take a shower. The ONLY thing pleasant was the location and staff.

This room was decent

Location was near a lot of great food and bars. The hotel was extremely run-down, almost like a roadside motel but worse looking. Everything was cracked, breaking or broken, extremely dirty and lots of fights and yelling outside at 3am.

The doors all have a crack at the top, indicating they weren't measured correctly before being put on. Which resulted in light and heat coming into the room. The room never got cool, it felt about 78 the entire night and we were all sweating all night. The only reason I am giving 3 stars is because the staff was very friendly and helpful, I left jewlery in my room and was able to recover the lost items.

Location. Convenience. Breakfast. Clean room. Parking was cramped but that is to be expected.

The TV only had about 6 local channels. We wanted to relax and watch a movie but had to watch late night talk shows and game shows. A few outlets didn’t work at all in the room.

The breakfast was fine but never ready. The air conditioning was very loud and the lights around the hotel were blinding. I recommend they change their window coverings to block out the light. The room was clean but the shower had split in it causing difficulty standing.
