Hotel Patina Ishigakijima

Staff were very nice, and the bicycle lending service made it convenient.

Great location for using the ferries, FamilyMart is right next to the hotel, bus stop is 7 minutes from the hotel

The room was big but bed was small. Our room at the corner of building which was noisy from sound of high winds.

This is the perfect place to stay if you spending a few days in Ishigaki. The hotel is in the perfect location. It’s a 10 minute walk to the ferry terminal, downtown, and a beautiful park across the bridge. Family mart is one street away if you need anything. The hotel staff is amazing. They’re super friendly and helpful with anything you need. The hotel has everything you need for your stay. They have breakfast in the morning, complimentary tea and drinks 24/7, and free alcohol drinks in the evening. The property is very clean and has plenty of parking if you have a car. I would recommend this hotel and I’d stay here again. The only issue with this hotel beds are hard.

Lots of nice little bonuses (free laundry, drinks, coupon rewards) to make the stay more comfortable. Very good Japanese breakfast. Kind staff. Enjoyed my stay here.

Not enough parking space next to the hotel, but the hotel has additional parking spots close by.

In a seven week cycling trip on the islands this was our favourite hotel. No other hotel gets hospitality quite as well. It’s very affordable, it has a beautiful public area with drinks and board games. The staff are all lovely and the room was great. We stayed in the double room with the smaller bed. It’s a 3/4 size and fine for us. It meant we had more floor space in the room. There was room for our bikes on the balcony. The location is about five minutes walk from the port making it very easy to take ferries to the islands. It’s also very central and close to the market area and all the sights. There is a family mart just around the corner and other stores near by. I can’t recommend this place more!

The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. The laundry room is convenient and well-maintained, which was good because we were washing our snorkel clothes daily. It was unpleasant to smell cigarette smoke maybe coming from other guest’s balconies?

There are lots of hotels to choose from. I’m so happy I chose to stay at Patina. It’s cozy, clean, & charming! Here’s what I really liked 1. Location 2. Price -great value with assorted drinks (assorted loose left teas, coffee, alcohol) 3. Clean! It’s an older hotel with a first rate cleaning crew! 4. Room also had a clean look and feel with the wood floors instead of carpet! Patio to let fresh air in was also great! 5. Free Bikes to explore around the hotel…I biked across the bridge to the area where there are feral cats! Charm in Bohemian vibe, you can tell that the owner thought about how to create this hotel vibe. Domoarigatou for a fantastic stay!

A good hotel for exploring Ishigaki. The staff was nice. The breakfast was good and you have free drinks (non-alcoholic - and alcoholic drinks in the evening).

Loved the location. Room was clean and spacious. Loved also the breakfast and even more the free bar with Awamori. They also have free bikes for rent. Staff was very kind. Loved their eco program - if you skip the daily housekeeping you get vouchers to spend either in partner shops eg pizzaria or bakery or in their hotel shop. Everyone wins. Environment and guests.

Hotel looked a little bit older but in good shape.

This is my fourth time staying at Patina. The staff are all lovely and kind, the room is comfortable, and the breakfast is filling and delicious. They have water, tea, and coffee available all time and in the evening there is a do-it-yourself bar. The hotel is a few minutes walk to the downtown core, where you have easy access to the ferry terminal and bus terminal, as well as tons of shops and restaurants. I will continue to stay here whenever I’m in Ishigaki. I like the points/voucher system for the room cleaning - I picked up some great treats!

Everything!! The location for the price, the free breakfast and laundry services as well as free bike rentals! Not to mention the staff! They were nice and so helpful. We had a medical emergency in the late evening and didn’t know how to get to the hospital and helped us to do so. Would absolutely recommend this place!

The woman at reception was extremely helpful but the man who was there the following morning was not. The hotel is 10 minutes from the Iriomote ferry. Not many restaurants nearby

could have a bigger desk set up for working.
