Our stay at Ajwa Sultanahmet was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived until the day we checked out, every aspect of our experience exceeded our expectations. This is truly what a genuine five-star hotel should be. The rooms were immaculate, beautifully designed, spacious, and exceptionally comfortable. Every detail reflected elegance and quality. The housekeeping staff kept everything in pristine condition throughout our stay. The service was simply outstanding. Every member of the staff was warm, professional, attentive, and genuinely eager to make our stay unforgettable. The concierge was incredibly helpful with recommendations and arranging transportation, while the restaurant staff provided impeccable service with delicious food every time. A special thank you goes to the Bell Captain and his entire team. They are absolutely fantastic and truly set the standard for hospitality. Their professionalism, kindness, efficiency, and willingness to go above and beyond made us feel welcomed from the very first moment. They consistently anticipated our needs and treated us like valued guests rather than just visitors. They are a tremendous asset to the hotel. The hotel's cleanliness, amenities, atmosphere, and attention to detail were exceptional. The location is perfect for exploring the historic heart of Istanbul while still providing a peaceful and luxurious retreat. Without hesitation, I can say that Ajwa Sultanahmet is one of the finest hotels I have ever stayed at. Every category of our stay was exceptional, and the entire team delivered a level of hospitality that is difficult to match. We will absolutely return on our next visit to Istanbul and recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a truly world-class experience. In all honesty, everything was perfect!

Excellent upkeep and staff. Great breakfast. Most important thing: it. Was. Clean. Located in a very hilly area of sultanamet. Makes it difficult if you have mobility issues or are a wheelchair user.
-
While the location is conveniently close to all major locations the street is really busy and has horrible traffic. So if you take a cab you will be in it for a while and depending where you going you could walk faster. There are no side walks and we found ourselves walking on the side of the road.

Verdict: this is a very high-class, emotional, Ottoman-style luxury hotel in the heart of old Istanbul. Not a modern “glass luxury” hotel — it is more like a private Ottoman mansion/palace with Islamic/halal positioning, art, marble, mother-of-pearl furniture, carpets, and historical atmosphere. Tripadvisor describes it as “more than a mere five-star hotel” with a private-mansion feeling and halal hospitality. The location is excellent: AJWA Sultanahmet is at Piyerloti Caddesi No:30, Sultanahmet, close to the core historical district of Istanbul. The hotel offers a spa, indoor pool, steam room and hammam-style wellness facilities, which is important after walking all day in Istanbul. The design is the main reason it feels special: Ottoman splendor, handcrafted furniture, Persian rugs, marble work, painted ceilings and a very rich traditional aesthetic. Preferred Hotels describes it as a five-star hotel in the heart of Old Istanbul with Ottoman-style luxury and views toward the Sea of Marmara from Zeferan Restaurant. Recent review signals are also strong: Expedia shows it as “Exceptional” with hundreds of reviews and highlights the hammam spa, indoor pool, rooftop restaurant, Bosphorus/Old City access, and highly personal service. . My final “100-star” feeling For Sultanahmet, history, romance, Islamic/Ottoman luxury, family stay, quiet elegance — I would give it: Not the best choice if you want modern nightlife, Bosphorus resort energy, or ultra-contemporary luxury. But for old Istanbul soul — AJWA is one of the most beautiful choices. None

Hotel Clerk and door men were fantastic. So Helpful and I would say the entire hotel staff were extremely service oriented. It was a very luxurious day and every person we interacted with demonstrated the highest level of courtesy. The spa was a wonderful experience, best massage I’ve ever had! Our hotel room was very comfortable and clean. The hotel is a good location in terms of proximity to the old city, breakfast spread is large and the restaurant has a fantastic view. I wish the dinner and breakfast menus had vegan (dairy/egg/meat free) options. The Gym hours vary by gender and the specified times for women are difficult. There are some brief hours in the early morning and then some hours after 3 PM but it would make it difficult to sight see in the middle of the day and the hours overlap with peak meal times. To be equitable, I think there needs to be something later in the morning, available for women.

Location is excellent. Rooms were very comfortable. Buffet breakfast was very good as well. Staff were all very guest focused and helpful. Lighting the bathroom wasn’t bright enough for me and the hot water in the bathroom sink wasn’t hot and yet the shower was just fine.
-
Great hotel and location. Wonderful, kind, friendly, attentive staff. Pool use hours are separated by sex. Opposite sex can use the pool after hours for a fee.

The breakfast buffet was absolutely amazing! And the view was perfection. I loved the inlay furniture in our room. The artwork all around the property was amazing. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. The concierge, Marie, was especially helpful. I don't think there was anything that could be improved upon.

Front desk was great. Good location. Very authentic feel.

A beautiful property, well located, great breakfast included. The staff was very kind and accommodating, especially Aytac and the bell team. Every day Aytac and his team went out of their way to make sure that we had everything we needed.

The hotel was located perfectly for us. It was within a 10 min walk of the Grand Bazaar in one direction and the Sophia Hagia in another. We stayed there twice for 3 days, split up by a trip to Cappadocia. We had a deluxe room and a corner suite. Both were lovely, although the latter was quite a bit larger. The beds were very comfortable and the decor was beautiful. The breakfast buffet was very good with nice views overlooking the water in the distance. All of the staff were very friendly helpful. Aytac and the 'bell team' were especially helpful with our bags. We liked the fact that there were plenty of moderately priced restaurants in the area. Also, there were a couple of decent laundry facilities just down the block but we didn't use them as this was our last stop before home. The drive to the hotel from the airport is about an hour because of traffic in the old city. The hot water in the bathroom sink was not hot, compared to the shower. The lighting in the bathroom was not as bright as I like for shaving. We didn't use the spa/gym but men and women have separate times to use it. I thought the hotel was expensive but included in the price is a 20%? VAT which makes Istanbul expensive in general.

The whole stay was exceptional, and we felt that the staff literally attempted to exceed our expectations in every possible way. For example we paid to upgrade to a family room, but instead were moved to a luxury suite. The hotel itself is super comfy and beautiful at the same time. The service is immaculate. The staff is friendly with kids. Our little one got fantastic reception every step of the way. We will stay here again real soon.

The interior was amazing , near many cafes and shops Lack of proper parking

Everything was incredible! The staff was amazing. Very helpful and kind

We got pleasantly surprised by being upgraded to the Sultan suite upon arrival. The staff was very welcoming and very helpful at all times. The property was very clean and well kept up. The stairs can be a bit scary.

Great location. Walking distance to all the historic spots. My room and bed were very comfortable I slept extremely well. The breakfast if you get it included is fantastic. Staff were kind and always helpful. This isn’t necessarily a dislike but think it’s worth mentioning. I chose the room with vertical greenery because I’m a light sleeper and other reviews saying that facing the street can be noisy. But that the room is dark with no natural light. So It was weird in the morning waking up and pulling open the curtains to no light. Although, when you turn on the lights you forget about it and it’s Istanbul so you’re barely in the room. It should be mentioned that the tours they provide do not include admission to the sites. You are only paying for the guide which is a hefty 250euros. I’ve travelled extensively and done many tours and I personally think at that price it should include everything.

Location and cleanliness 3rd time staying Just got off a cruise and was staying for a short period of time. Mostly using for sleep. We couldn’t get the air conditioner to work and had to open the windows

An exceptional stay. The staff truly exceeded expectations at every turn. As a solo female traveler, I felt incredibly safe and welcomed. The spa was a highlight, and the breakfast offered a wonderful variety of local flavors. Everything was wonderful.

The room was wonderful except for being a bit warm at times. The breakfast was great lots of choices and great quality. It was my birthday trip & made it special by leaving me a birthday treat ❤️ That you couldn't use the pool or gym as a couple unless you reserved it after hours late at night. It was empty every time I went. It was okay we ended up spending most of our time out in the city anyway... if you enjoy walking you will get plenty of steps in.
