​We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel and were charmed by everything it had to offer. The service was top-notch from the very first moment, and the rooms were spotlessly clean and comfortable. ​A special thanks to the staff, who were incredibly polite, welcoming, and professional. They went above and beyond to help us with very practical tips and recommendations, which made our stay in Istanbul incredibly smooth and enjoyable (including helping us arrange a fantastic cruise and a SIM card beforehand). ​To top it all off, the view of the Bosphorus and the Sea of Marmara was absolutely stunning. We are already planning our next trip to Istanbul, and we will definitely choose this hotel again without hesitation. Highly recommended!

If you are going to stay in Sultanahmet, you should give the Katelya Hotel serious consideration. It is located behind the Blue Mosque on a quiet street with sea views. There are two aspects of the Katelya Hotel that stand out. The first is how charming, well-informed and helpful the staff is. We had lots of interactions with Yunus at the front desk and he was unfailingly kind and helpful. He marked up a map of Istanbul and showed us how to get around with the Istanbulkart using the tram and ferries. He booked taxis for us with reputable taxi companies so we weren't scammed by Istanbul's notorious taxi drivers. He recommended good restaurants. We had some complicated logistics getting out to an airport hotel when we were leaving and booking a 5AM taxi the next morning as well. Yunus did a wonderful job helping us with all of this. The rest of the staff is also very hospitable. The other fun aspect of the Katelya is the breakfast buffet downstairs. There are all sorts of choices from traditional Turkish breakfast to the sorts of food that Americans or Germans would eat at home. We were at the Katelya for a week and we enjoyed breakfast everyday and tried most of the options. We paid a bit more for a sea view room and thought it was worthwhile. nothing

Safe, clean, comfortable property. Staff was lovely and very accommodating. And even gave us a small departure gift. Breakfast was plenty and delicious.

Central location, almost everything was within easy walking distance. The room was tight but functional in every way. Smaller room but we are used to this in Europe and other places

A really nice small hotel with an incredible staff that does all to make your stay as pleasant as it can be. Clean room with comfortable beds and pillows. It has a nice rooftop where you can admire a large part of the city, the sea of Marmara and the access to the Bosporus. You have complimentary coffee, tea and water in your room that the staff replenish every day. Also the breakfast is excellent and varied. Very well located, just a few blocks from the heart of the European side of Istanbul. 15 minutes walk to Hagia Sofia. Special shout out to Yunus and Yasim from the front desk for their great manners and incredible help.

Friendly and helpful staff. They went out of their way to help us. The breakfast buffet was impressive with so many options. The location was great and it was easy to walk to local sites. The hotel arranged a driver to pick us up and then return us to the airport which made things much easier.

Thank you to Katelya Hotel for an amazing stay! My sister and I and a day layover and decided to stay here an we loved it so much that on the way back we decided to stay again. The owner and staff especially the manager were all great help with getting us transportation from the airport to the hotel. The breakfast is AMAZING! So much variety feels like an authentic Turkish breakfast. The views from the roof top are breathtaking I suggest waking up early to see the sunrise. The manager also helped booked a Hammam for my sister and I with transportation and suggested an amazing restaurant choice to dine at as well. This location is near the blue mosque and walking distance to a lot of the near by sights. As females we felt extremely welcomed and safe. Next time I come to Istanbul I will 100% stay here again!! Location is excellent and very close to Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia. It only takes 5 minutes to blue mosque and <10 to Hagia Sofia and tram that can take you everywhere. It is close to the market where you can find everything. The staff and breakfast were excellent. The rooms were serviced daily. The bathrooms were not clean. The main shower was not working. The toilet seat was loose. Kitchen was dirty. The skirtings on the room were broken with nails hanging off. It wasn't a hotel building. It was a house turned into hotel.

Location in old town is excellent, hotel employees are very helpful

The staff was welcoming and helpful. They were quick to respond to my questions before arrival and during my stay. The breakfast was delicious, too! The major attractions (The Blue Mosque, the palace, etc.)are a short walk from the hotel. The pillows are hard. I realize that's a small problem.

Hotel has excellent location. Just 2 minutes from Blue Mosque. We had excellent room with many windows. Staff was very friendly and gave valuable suggestions. Breakfast was very good. I recommend this hotel. We liked it a lot and will choose for our next trip to Istanbul
