Great location and very friendly staff, accommodated our early arrival . Loved the view of blue mosque from our apartment

The top floor studio had an exceptional view over the sea of Marmara and a terrace to enjoy it over breakfast or in the evening. On a hot couple of days the A/C worked well! The studio is a little rough around the edges, but the view makes up for it!

The breakfast was okay. The view from the room was great. That bathroom was generally clean. Under the bed was dirty. The staff were friendly and non-judgmental. The breakfast was not great.

Old bathroom, but not much of a problem

The location of this hotel is very good. The staff is nice, but language barriers can cause problems. Some rooms are very nice. Others are not nice. I would suggest requesting rooms numbered 5 through 10 for short stays on a budget. It is a good value for those. It is not well-suited for longer stays.

This is a great place to experience "Old Town" Istanbul from the moment you step out the door. The Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, Topkapi Museum, and more are a ten-minute walk away. The intimacy of the place is one of its charms; the first night, I was invited to join a group of Russians for a couple of glasses of wine. The conversation was a bit limited, but this is the crossroads of Europe and Asia, and after a few glasses, no one was keeping track of grammar. The staff is very welcoming and quickly makes you feel as if you are visiting their home. This is not the Marriott and doesn't pretend to be. However, you will leave here with a story or a memory you couldn't have gotten on polished marble floors. Not so much a negative as a caution. The stairs may be challenging to those with mobility problems. I am sixty-seven and had no problems, although the staff did carry my baggage up to the room.

In the heart of beautiful Instanbul, walking distance to main tourist attractions. Our hosts were very nice to reserve secure parking for us, as well as to attend to our needs. Definitely recommend. We will visit again.

The hotel was in an excellent position... A short walk through the park to the Santa Sofia and other great sights of Istanbul. There were also restaurants nearby, The young hotel desk staff were pleasant; the young woman who served breakfast was obliging, made a good omelette, and filled my flask; the staff willingly carried my suitcase up (to the second floor). The bed was fine and had a bed light. There was a shower with hot water. 1. There was no heating of any kind, and it was deep in the winter, so it was freezing. It was also my fault that I did not check this, but heating is normal. 2. The experience would be much improved by a kettle, a bottle or two of water and table or shelf for drinks. 3. The steep and narrow winding staircase, without any railings, was risky at my age (80) and for anyone.
