Clean, professional staff and beautiful breakfast

Amazing host, perfect location, breakfast at the roof terrace is very good

The staff was so helpful, accommodated all our needs, good breakfast and also helped me with transportation to and from airport. The place was perfect for our stay, cozy and the location was walking distance to Sultanahmet and Hagia Sophia. We took a walk at night at those tourist packed places. It is also close to the public tram which will take you other parts of the city.

The location was very good and within walking distance to most attractions. We arrived with the hotel door locked and no one at the front desk. The contact numbers on the door didn't work, but thankfully the taxi driver and a neighbour helped and called the owner for us. We were waiting outside in the cold, at midnight for 20 minutes. Very worrying for two females. We were made to stay in a different building down the road, with a different hotel name for the first night. There was no prior information about this at all, and it was very worrying and stressful for two females arriving at midnight, with a large language barrier (the man at the desk had poor English). This felt very unsafe. If I was on my own, I would have left and moved to a different jowl that felt safer. The shower didn't work at all and it was cold through the night. There were no extra blankets provided. We booked a room in the Berce Hotel, so we should have been given a room in the Berce Hotel. We were moved to a very substandard room in the Berce Hotel the next day. When we came to check in at 2pm, the room was not ready for us and we had to wait half an hour for the room to be cleaned. When we were given the room it was very dirty and it seems only the bedding was changed. The sink was disgusting and we were given dirty cuttlery. We booked and paid extra online for a Twin Bed and a deluxe room with a balcony - we were given a ground floor, dirty room next to reception, which was incredibly noisy at night, with other late arrivals complaining at the desk. We did not get the room that we paid extra for, and it seems many other guests had similar complaints. It seems if you do not arrive for check in time, you do not have a room in the Berce Hotel saved for you and your room will not be ready for you upon arrival. The turtle in a green pot by the front desk looks like it's nearly dead.

We received absolutely all the benefits we expected and it was especially pleasant to communicate with Mustafa, who is always very polite and friendly in any request, we highly recommend this hotel, we will definitely stay there next time small things as very low lighting and some windows closed permanently
