The staff (Ali & his brother) made us the stay very comfy and fulfilled all our wishes and were friendly at all times! 5min walking to Taksim and they offer a fair price for Transportation to the Airport.

Nothing It was one the worst experiences we’ve had with a rental. The issues started right from the entrance: there was a lot of garbage and a terrible smell near the building entrance. We saw people were throwing trash directly from their windows, which made the area feel unsafe and unwelcoming. The problems continued at the reception, where the staff was rude and unhelpful. They showed no interest in addressing our concerns or making our stay comfortable. Upon entering the apartment, we were shocked by the condition. It was extremely dirty and clearly hadn’t been cleaned enough before our arrival. The dirt was everywhere. Everything inside was old, worn out, and poorly maintained. The furniture and appliances were covered in dust and grime, and there was mold in several places, which is not only unsightly but also a health hazard. It is obvious that the photos posted on booking.com were taken many years ago and now do not correspond to the real picture. Overall, this apartment was a huge disappointment. It felt neglected and unfit for guests. I would not recommend staying here unless significant improvements are made. We decided to settle elsewhere despite the fact that we lost the entire cost of living here, since they refused to return even part of the payment to us

Evaluating this particular accommodation is a challenging task, as staying here reveals contradictions that are quite evident in modern Turkey. Firstly, the property is located in an area that, by Western standards, is clearly underdeveloped. However, there is a noticeable effort to improve the conditions, largely driven by tourism development. That said, there is still a long way to go. On the positive side, the location is very central, with easy access to public transportation and the iconic Taksim Square. Safety is not a concern, even late at night, as the area remains lively with open shops and activity just a few minutes away. Given these circumstances, the overall cost was quite reasonable. Additionally, I must highlight that the staff was exceptionally polite and helpful, with no complaints in that regard. As a whole, this accommodation would struggle to meet the expectations of a tourist from a Western country. Significant improvements are needed for it to align with the high yet reasonable standards found in Europe. However, if the primary concern is a budget-friendly option that serves as a simple place to sleep and shower—particularly for travelers who spend most of their day exploring the city—this could be an acceptable choice. That was the case for us, as we rarely spent time in the room. Regarding the building itself, while it has been renovated, signs of wear and a certain "hastiness" in the renovation work are evident. The materials used are of low quality, and some fixtures appear worn out. There was also a lingering suspicion of hidden mold, as an unpleasant odor was occasionally noticeable under certain conditions. The room itself offers only the bare essentials—suitable for sleeping and covering basic needs. During our stay, the heating and hot water system was faulty, requiring the staff to reset it every 5–6 hours, typically in the morning and evening. This became quite frustrating over time. Would I choose this place again if I had the option? Probably not. I would rather pay a bit more for something that guarantees a hassle-free stay without these issues. However, I understand that some people might not find these concerns significant.

The staff are lovely and very helpful. The location is great too. The WiFi could be better.

In my opinion Taksim is the best location to stay, as everything you need in walking distance. The staff was extremely helpful and kind. They asked if we needed cleaning or changing towels any time, but they wouldn't do it unless we gave them permission, which made me happy. So for these things you have to ask them. It's not like a hotel, with daily cleaning and changing your bed sheets. It's like your little holiday home with self-service. The noise outside is all night long, very loud, and there is no soundproofing at all. We stayed in a triple room. Seeing the picture before booking, I was happy to stay there, but when we arrived, it was a completely different place. The condition of this place I could give 2.5 stars, a lot of maintenance needed in the place, everything falling apart, the smell from the sink and toilet was a disaster. I would highly recommend having ear plugs for your rest time as it's very difficult to sleep in such noise. The bed was not comfortable to sleep. We have made the most of it, the area is 5 stars, but we won't be returning to the same apartment.

Almost no natural light, cold (even with the radiator heaters working), room on street level. Not a single bottle of water provided in the room, just some tea bags (I guess you are supposed to use the "clean" tap water of old Istanbul). There was also no hot water late in the night when I arrived. Staff not very friendly by Turkish standards.

Close to centre We found a SCORPION in our room (almost dead but still with the hability to sting) and the only thing they did was took it out. They didn't refund us the money or give any kind of apology. The only thing they told us was that they were going to make a pests clean, but because that day was sunday and the next day national day, they were not going to make it until 2 days later, when we were leaving. They didn't change us to another room either.

The rooms were pretty clean and beautiful. The hotel is just a 5-minute walk away from Taksim Square's metro station. There are plenty of restaurants and local shops nearby.

Everything was perfect, location, rooms, staff, etc.
