The location is super convenient, walking distance to all major sights. Breakfast is decent.

The staff were very helpful and warm. We got a free upgrade of our room from economy to luxury. The lady serving the breakfast was very nice and friendly, and making sure that warm food was available for the guests. Room and toilet were clean and everything mentioned during the online booking was provided. The bonus point was its proximity to the tourist places (the Blue mosque, Hagia Sofia, Basilica and sultanahmet square, Topkapi palace, everything was within 5 -7 mins walking distance). There are several hotels nearby which offer close proximity to tourist places but the best thing regarding Esans hotel was its excellent location which despite being very close to the tourist area was still a bit away from the nearby noisy streets. We could sleep peacefully in the hotel while 2 streets away, we could hear loud music and party noise even after midnight when we were coming back from our day trip. And yes, the area is super safe even at the midnight with 24x7 police patrol. I would strongly recommend Esans hotel. Some rooms are a bit small in size but overall sufficient enough to sleep comfortably and stay for a few days to weeks. Some of the rooms seemed smaller. The wooden floor made creaky noise once in a while but not strong enough to disturb sleep. I didn't see any elevator which could be an issue if you are carrying 3-4 heavy suitcases, but I am sure the hotel staff would help, if needed.

Esans is a very nice and cozy hotel that is conveniently located in a quiet area in Sultanhamet. All major tourist attractions are just a short walk away. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable (great mattresses!) and breakfast is quite rich, with a good selection of home-made goodies.

Best location, walking distance to all major attractions. Clean Rooms with comfortable bed. No elevator and small cramped up stairs. Breakfast felt boring after a couple of days. Inefficient air conditioning. Weak WiFi.

don't be surprised by the loud call to prayer! it will wake you, but it's part of the experience.

The bed was pretty stiff but I eventually got used to it. They upgraded me to a larger room but the AC was poor for the size of the room so I ended up downgrading and the AC was way better in the smaller room.

This little hotel had a great location- it was walkable to all the main sites in this area. The staff was very helpful, especially the lady who prepares the breakfast! There was always something extra and different prepared each morning and she was very friendly. This is a small hotel so you get more personal service. I also like that it was out of the main hustle bustle of the big roads... so it was very quiet (except for the seagulls ha ha ha). It would have been nice if there were screens on the window so we could open them without worrying about mosquitoes. Also, they could replace some towels because I had a few over four days that were in very rough condition with holes.

Location, breakfast and staff

I especially liked the cleanliness of the place, of the bedsheet and towels. Furniture and decoration are traditional (not modern) and cute. Toiletries and hair dryer available in the bathroom too, like in a 4-star hotel. No bad smells inside the room (I am very sensitive about smells). Room was spacious as well as the bathroom (booked the standard double room instead of single, although it was single occupancy). Breakfast on the rooftop (with nice views to the sea) had quite a nice variety of freshly cooked food for a small hotel like this, and the food was of good quality (I had no digestive issues after eating here). The staff was friendly, always ready to help with any request. A filtered water dispensing machine was available in the lobby and we could replenish our bottles down there every day. They attended our request to set a special decoration for one of our companions, because it was her birthday (see attached picture). Location - on a quiet, retired street - is awesome, within walking distance to most important attractions in the Old City area. Also, plenty of restaurants and stores nearby. Just 5 minutes away from the train station (Line U3) and 10 minutes from the streetcar's stop. The A/C unit was working, but it was not cooling the room (same for two rooms). For those having a very sensitive sleep, keep in mind that by 4:30AM, there will be some singing in the speakers coming from the mosques (however, that will happen in mainly any area of the city); other than that, the hotel is located on a quite quiet street. Another thing that may be improved is the fact that the water coming from the shower had a slightly unpleasant smell. I am not sure whether this was due to the hotel water tank or it already comes that way from the city.

Amazing staff. Front office staffs are amazing and they speak English as well . House keeping and restaurant are very nice but they can understand only Turkish, we use translator. Only missing part is lift , for older person it’s difficult

The hotel is in Sultanahmet, which is a nice area close to important monuments like the Basilica Cistern, the Blue Mosque and Topkapi Palace. Despite its closeness to various attractions, the hotel is situated in a quiet side street, close to public transport too. The rooms are spacious and the bed is comfortable. Nice options for breakfast, some of which are cooked on the spot on the rooftop. The price was also very convenient. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would certainly hope to come back! Nothing. Everything was great.

Great location (2 min from again sofia, in the heart of historical center) and very fair price! Coffee at the breakfast
-
The room was a perfect size for a family and there were great commodities like a nice powerful shower, comfortable beds and an immaculate living space. The location couldn't have been better as we were only a short walk from some of the major tourist attractions such as the Blue Mosque or the Hagia Sophia. The staff were very helpful and friendly, all contributing to a great stay. Moreover, the delicious breakfast buffet was a delightful addition to our experience.

The room was quaintly decorated, clean AND the bed was actually comfortable. The location is within an easy walk of many of the important sights but far enough away to be on a quiet side street. The best compromise. The two staff I spoke to were both friendly and helpful. Breakfast was extensive and delicious! The view from the dining area was amazing. While still a 3 star hotel, it was excellent. I will return here for a longer visit!
