Wonderful location, just a short walk from the historic part of town and convenient public transportation. The freshly prepared breakfast, with daily cooked and baked specialties, was excellent. The staff was exceptionally kind, welcoming, and accommodating, making our stay even more enjoyable. The terrace offers beautiful views of the Bosphorus and the city's mosques.

The hotel is beautifully decorated with charming and unique details in every room. Staff are friendly and helpful and we enjoyed both the garden and the rooftop (with views of the Bosphorus) immensely. The whole place is like a sanctuary in Sultanahmet.

The location is excellent, the staff so friendly and helpful, the rooms so thoughtfully decorated, it was like staying a good friend’s house!

Loved Empress Zoe-- the courtyard was lovely place for breakfast and afternoon break. Overall was charming and more authentic, more like staying in a residence than in a hotel. Penthouse suite was spacious-- the living area with daybeds for lounging and terrace with fabulous views of Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia and the Bosphorus. Staff were great, friendly and helpful. Location ideal.

Breakfast and garden
-
Great location, the staff were all amazing and so helpful and the breakfast was super. I loved the private garden and the roof terrace too, they really enhanced the stay. There was some redecoration going on to the main reception area and a couple of rooms were not accessible. It didn’t affect my overall experience it was just a shame that you had to use a side door to enter and leave the building.

Wonderful staff. Great breakfast. Excellent location. Loved our room with balcony. It was lovely- no complaints

Breakfast was excellent. Location is superb. Views are fabulous. Staff was cheerful, helpful, competent. Stairs to our room got a little old.

Unique, authentic, welcoming, quiet garden, an oasis in the middle of Istanbul. Breakfast was very tasty. All was good, I don’t mind stairs.

Very comfortable and safe. Great location and the breakfast was delicious.

Nice location if you want to stay in old town next to the famous Mosques, hotel has a cute garden where it is nice to have breakfast, breakfast is good, in Turkish style, overall staff are very friendly and professional If you are looking for a relaxing, comfortable and mainly quiet hotel to stay in, this might not be the best option. The building is very historic, you can hear absolutely everything inside and outside the hotel, all the noise possible, very hard to sleep. Standard room is tiny and very aged, go with a suite , only those have the antique Turkish style that are comfortable to stay in. Also the attitude of the night manager was quite surprising, the ladies running the hotel are lovely and offered options, the night manager only seemed to be sarcastic without helping to solve the issues

One evening, the WiFi was not working for the whole evening and it was not repaired until the morning, even though it was promised by the hotel person. I stayed in the hotel only for 2 days and one of them was unfortunately without Internet.

Nice breakfast, good overall value!
-
Love the design, history, private courtyard and spectacular rooftop space. Excellent location, great Turkish breakfast. Knowledgeable and helpful staff. Nothing! However if you don’t like steps - this place is not for you

We unfortunately had cold weather in May (12C) and the room was cold at first and only heated during the nighttime
-
Great service and location for visiting the old city.

Breakfast and resident cats are a standout at this lovely hotel. Great location.

Great location, friendly and helpful staff, love the cats! Great breakfast.

The location of the hotel is fantastic! It offers a ton of charm and the staff are great. The daily breakfast was a perfect start to the morning. The rooms are of typical size for European hotels (not the oversized we tend to be accustomed to in the US) and outfitted accordingly, ie, smaller beds and bathrooms. But the uniqueness and charm made it a great choice for our family. No real issues for us - however, with no elevator or lift, it could be difficult for those with mobility issues.
