Hotel Ravi

The staff, without exception, were incredibly kind. Mehmet at the front desk helped me settle in on my very first night. The location is fantastic; close enough to walk to all the major landmarks and attractions in Sultanahmet, yet just far enough to stay quiet at night. Breakfast was fantastic too, with a great variety of food and genuinely filling. The room was spotless, had AC, and the cleaning staff kept it in great shape every single day.

First things first: Hotel Ravi is a gem--it's in a perfect location, just a short walk to Sultanahmet and Hagia Sophia and other major points of interest that folks come to Istanbul for. At the same time, it is also quiet (enough) for when you need peace and a semblance of "distance" away from the daily Istanbul hustle and bustle. The Ravi has a charming and welcoming ambience, offers a generous breakfast buffet (trust me--you'll need it for energy and sustenance), and most importantly (don't ignore this): a welcoming staff who are genuinely attentive, gracious, and want nothing more than your comfort. Take it from us: we stayed here in May 2024 for 10 nights (and loved every minute of it) and did 12 nights on this trip. Ayca, the hotel manager, is every guest's quintessential hostess-ambassador-"Istanbulpedia"-guide-cultural broker. She is such a warm and kind human being---and one who effortlessly becomes a friend for life to so many. From where we stand, look no further: hotel-searching can be (actually IS) a nightmare so much so that if you find the right place, you best "gatekeep" the secret for family and friends. (Here I'm not gatekeeping at all because I know how grueling hotel-searching is!) Thank you, Hotel Ravi! Tesekkur ederiz, Ayca, Onur, Jacob, and everyone at Hotel Ravi. Just the right place for us! We've had the "been there and done that" with many hotels. Hotel Ravi is by far the best--authentic and unpretentious, which is what we were looking for. It didn't have that "big box"/"chain" impersonal and "corporate" feeling, which is what a lot of hotels are about!

Great location. Around the corner from Blue mosque and we walked to all the other tourist attractions public transport nearby as well Friendly front desk staff. Breakfast was excellent. Room was clean and comfortable although the bed was a bit hard ( probably just a personal preference). Would definitely recommended

Normally I don't take the time to rate the hotels I stay at, but this place is something else. Location is great; just around the corner from the Blue Mosque and a short walk to the T1 tram line. The staff was absolutely fantastic and their assistance and recommendations really were spot on. The entire place has recently been renovated and everything worked. They even have a full size elevator, which was a definite plus. We will definitely stay here the next time we visit Istanbul. I did not have more time to seem more of Istanbul.

Location was perfect. Close to key sites and public transportation. On a side street so very quiet. Very clean. Staff was very helpful. Good restaurants nearby. Price was great.perfect Liked it all

We had a lovely stay at the hotel Ravi. The staff were friendly, warm and welcoming and the breakfast was excellent with lots of choice of cold and hot items as well as fresh juice, coffee and tea. It's very reasonably priced with a location just a few minutes walk from many of the sites of the old city. Very clean rooms and comfy beds. Recommended.

The room (especially the floor) could be clearer

This hotel was perhaps the cleanest hotel that I have ever stayed in. The location was perfect. It was close to everything that I wanted to see and close to the local Metro Station, most importantly, though the staff were, perhaps the most kind and helpful staff that I have been encountered anywhere in a long time, they were more than willing to answer my questions and help me when I needed something. There wasn’t anything that I didn’t like about this property. The breakfast was good. The location was amazing. The hotel was clean and the staff was incredibly helpful.

Everyone, especially Yokum, was very helpful and nice. We had a great stay and we're able to do everything we wanted to do from Hotel Ravi.

The Ravi is an excellent 3-star hotel in an great location with an abundance of Turkish hospitality. The room was clean, modern and comfortable. The management and staff were fluent in English, polite and very helpful, recommending really good local restaurants and helping with transfers to the airport. Located on a quite side street, the Ravi is an easy 5 minute walk from the Blue Mosque and Hippodrome and 2 minutes from a pharmacy. The basement breakfast room is located atop an exposed Byzantine palace wall. The Ravi does not pretend to be more than it is and it does what a hotel should do very, very well. The Ravi was a great value.

Hotel has a perfect location. The Blue Mosque is just across the street, only a 3 minute walk, even though Google Maps sometimes shows a longer route. The hotel is very clean and neat, the room was nice and spotless, and the staff were very cooperative and helpful.also this location is actually very convenient to reach everywhere. Don’t think too much, just book it and thank me later. There was nothing major to dislike.

I really like the hotel location and the staff are very friendly and attentive. You can ask Jacob for restaurant recommendations or taxi reservations. He is very helpful. The hotel is recently renovated, so the room is very clean and new.
