Marmara Deluxe Hotel

Excellent budget hotel in a good location with extremely friendly staff. Solid breakfast with occasional variations in the choice of dishes. Rooms are cleaned every day and towels are changed (no matter if they are on the floor or unused) and the minibar is refilled with water. Try to remember every day before you go sightseeing, to leave a symbolic tip on the bed for the maids because they really try. There is a metro station above the hotel and a tram station below, a 10-minute walk will take you to Sultanahmet Park (Aya Sofia and the Blue Mosque), and on the other side, a 10-minute walk will take you to the Grand Bazaar, and a 10-minute walk will take you to the docks in Eminonu from where you can take a ferry to visit beautiful locations such as Ortakoy, Kadikoy or Uskudar, and from the same docks you can embark on cheap magical Bosphorus Cruises. There are restaurants, souvenir and spice shops all around the hotel. Nothing worth mentioning.

Breakfast was excellent, the room was perfect for my 3 day resting period after a month in Turkey. The location was good for access to the Bazaar but i’m not a huge fan of the Sultan Ahmed neighborhood. It is safe and full of places to shop and eat so it’s not a bad complaint but I prefer Kadikoy or Taksim. The price was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful so many thanks to them!!! Everything was great as far as the hotel, staff, and the city of Istanbul…Greatest city i’ve ever been to. Many thanks to Mahmoud for his help and hospitality. All the staff were helpful and kind.

Perfect location, very nice staff They need to pay more attention to physical condition of the facilities (beds, tv, air conditioner). To old, often morally and physically overused

Excellent location and unbelievably convenient. The room is spacious enough for 2 people. Hotel staff are very nice, friendly and helpful. The hotel cats are very friendly and adorable. We miss the cats. The room we had is on the ground floor, and the balcony is not facing the street but the inner stair, so the view is not as good as in the website images. The room (especially the door) is a not that new. One night the cleaning staff forgot to clean up the hair on bathroom floor, but other days it was fine.

The staff was super friendly and helpful. The location is great! Not a bad place at all. The main lobby is gorgeous. They also have hotel cats :D The place was a little dated. The faucet and shower were hard to use. The vent system isn't working well so mold was in a lot of places. The bed was actually two beds pushed together and sleeping on that was rough. The room was cold at night with no heating system. A lot of little broken bits here and there.

My mom didn’t like her sheets but they immediately changed them when we claimed.

It’s near to the trams and there are a lot of restaurants nearby as well as the Bosphorus and Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque are nearby. Excellent location The rooms are smaller than expected; the breakfast was the same everyday and not a lot of options and not fresh food either.

The location is excellent, hygiene, rooms, and breakfast are all decent. Overall, good value for money The furniture could use some updating, especially small details like curtains. It doesn’t affect the stay much, but it would be a nice touch
