Nothing, I had to sleep on top of the sheet & barely slept. I checked in around midnight & there was a lot of confusion. There was clear racism towards an Asian man who was told he’d have to wait an hour for his room at 1am. Rough start to a 2 week trip around Turkey. I only stayed like 6 hour so I thought basic & cheap would be fine but wish I had spent more for a decent place.

It was my second stay at this hotel and I am very satisfied with it. I hope to come back in the near future and stay at the same hotel.

location. close to ferries and metro -breakfasts. very poor and not recommended. once they gave me only two small pieces of bread roll, when I asked about more, they gave me a plate of someone who was just finishing his meal. awful. it's not the way to treat guests -room, was very dark and not exactly what I saw on pictures. there was an "internal window" only -bathroom. not possible to close door because it was bigger than door frame. pathetic -laundry. despite of what it says on booking, there is NO laundry! and imagine it was the main reason why I chose this "hotel"... Guys, for this price you'll find more better hotels in Kadiköy

Nothing. Definitely the pictures and the lobby were the only good. The staff does not help, the bathroom and room smell a lot to humidity, it was very dirty. They charged me more than my stay, couldn't receive any money back. Nothing. The room was very small and you can hear clearly the noises of the othee rooms, the staff don't know about personal hygiene.

The shower is not comfortable. You need to step up to enter it from the room, and you step out wet because there is no shower cabin, and the water is everywhere in the bathroom.

Location! I think if they disconnect the internet connection it would be better than having it. That was not internet connection. It was not connected at all.

The staff was very helpful. Additionally, the location is great. Transportation for any region within Istanbul is available. There is no fridge in single rooms nor minibar.

Best Budget Hotel for an Istanbul Trip For British or European travellers the hotel is perfect. Do not expect a Sheraton, Four Seasons, Ritz etc .. BUT .... be prepared for the same courteous reception. The rooms are basic, but definitely practical if you're going for treatments or an extensive tour of Istanbul. Cleaned daily, (if required), with fresh towels and bedding. The rooms consist of your bed, or beds, tv, power points, (220v) and an individual shower/toilet/washroom. The hotel is safe and secure for belongings left out and has discreet cameras monitoring all floors. It is located a 3 minute walk from the bus terminal and ferry terminal, (ideal for trips to Istanbul), and 10 minutes walk to the hustle and bustle of Kadıköy with its shops/markets and street traders. Travel to local sightseeing locations is recommended by purchasing an Istanbul Travel Card, available from machines everywhere, (the closest being 3 minutes at the bus terminal). A simple 3 trip pass is as cheap as 70tl or you can buy a plastic card for 50tl that would then require topping up, (You can top up as many times as you want). All transport, ferry/bus/tram/metro will only accept this payment as no cash or card facilities. I would 100% recommend the Okur Otel for the staff, the experience of Turkey, location and last of all, the price! Bravo Okur Otel, I cannot wait to return as I feel you are now family. Hard to judge Breakfast times, they say 7am to 10am,(but never managed to catch them).

Good value modest hotel in a great part of Istanbul, surrounded by places to eat and drink, easy access to Kadiköy market and 5 minutes’ walk from the ferries to Eminönü Not in the most salubrious location. That didn’t bother me.
