Alf Hotel

În ceea ce privește hotelul, acesta este situat într-o zonă foarte turistică, cu numeroase restaurante și magazine în apropiere. Se ajunge în aproximativ 20 de minute pe jos la Moscheea Albastră, iar până la Grand Bazaar și stația de tramvai sunt aproximativ 15 minute de mers, însă traseul implică urcarea unui deal. Gazda, Gokhan, este amabilă și ospitalieră. Ne-a ajutat cu organizarea transferului de la aeroport, ne-a oferit apă din partea casei, iar ceaiul și cafeaua sunt disponibile gratuit pe tot parcursul zilei. Ofera si serviciu de spalatorie ceea ce ne-a ajutat dat fiind ca am plecat catre urmatoarea destinatie cu hainele curate. Terasa unde se servește micul dejun este foarte plăcută, cu o atmosferă relaxantă. Micul dejun a fost același în fiecare dimineață si l-am sarit in cateva zile. Hotelul nu este pentru pretentiosi, nivelul de curățenie a lăsat de dorit. În cele 7 nopți petrecute aici, camera a fost curățată o singură dată, în a cincea zi, și doar după ce am solicitat acest lucru. Baia a fost foarte mica si mucegaita. Frigiderul nu s-a putut folosi pt ca era foarte murdar. Terasa unde se serveste micul dejun este la etajul 5 iar accesul se face pe niste scari de tip spirale destul de inguste si dificile. Nu recomand cafeaua. Hotelul este amplasat chiar lângă o moschee, chemarea la rugăciune se aude în fiecare dimineață la ora 5. Acest lucru este însă destul de comun în Istanbul și nu poate fi considerat neapărat un dezavantaj al hotelului. Un alt minus important este lipsa izolației fonice. Se aude tot, atât zgomotul de pe stradă, cât și pe cel din interiorul clădirii. În primele nopți ale sejurului s-au efectuat lucrări de renovare în camera de deasupra noastră, iar zgomotul a fost atât de puternic încât nu am reușit să ne odihnim.

The location is amazing! The Grand Bazaar is nearby, and other attractions are literally a 20-30-minute walk away. The breakfasts were amazing; they were simple but delicious. There's definitely something for everyone. The veranda on the top floor with its stunning views of Istanbul is breathtaking. The staff is very polite, kind, and always ready to help with any questions! I highly recommend this hotel; I'll definitely be back. Nothing

The room and people were amazing

The guys at the reception were very helpful and nice. One guy (the younger one) helped us with the luggage by carrying super heavy bags till the fourth floor, really appreciate it! The location was relatively good, 10 minutes walk from Kapaliçarsi. The lady that works in the restaurant. I traveled with my girlfriend, which is Chinese, and I experienced how the lady discriminated and showed very open bias to my girlfriend, for example: The lady was not willing to give to my girlfriend coffee, but when I asked her then she gave me, the lady adressed my girlfriend openly with: Hey you bring those plates back, meanwhile no other guest had to return its plates; one day I didn`t wake up for the breakfast and the lady asked my girlfriend: Where is your friend?(this is none of her business) then she gave her half the food that the others would get and she gave her the last, everyone else received food and she was the last one to get that half - portion, only what was left after everyone else received food!; etc. No guest should be treated differently than the others because of their color, religion or social status! Also the facilities were all in very poor condition, no elevator, the mattresses were dirty, refrigerator didn`t work, hair dryer didn`t work, there was no way to switch off the heating, walls cracked, LED strips were not properly installed so when you turn them on they are visible. I gave the overall score of 2 only because of the guys at the reception and for the location, otherwise it is 1!

Location There is no lift, I got room in 4th floor and I had to take the stairs.

We actually enjoy our stay in york house.

Very small, dirty and noisy room. The only equipment in the room is a hair drier in a bathroom you can hardly get in; small and dirty. No acustique isolation betwwen the rooms; you participate in all conversations of the room next to yours! The photos on the site do NOT correspond at all to the reality (see below the real photos of this so-called" hotel).

We stayed at York Hotel and would like to express our sincere gratitude to the reception and his cousin Alparstyn! He is simply the best — such a kind, humble, and helpful person. He helped us with everything: tours, local spots, even with the room. Thanks to people like Alparstyn, our trip became truly unforgettable. His warmth, hospitality, and genuine care made all the difference in our experience. We’re so thankful and will definitely come back!
