It's hilly but that's expected in Istanbul

The place is close to Old town - Sultanahmet (10 min of walk) and Beyazit (5 min). Two supermarkets are across the street. My apartment was specious and good. Clean and bed was comfortable. Kettle and microvawe in it were something I used. Rifat, the owner, was nice and he also agreed to prolong my stay for 8 more hours - I paid for that 15 more euros (which was 'friendly' price though my initial stay with one more night was actually cheaper (217€) in comparison to 205€ I paid for one night less + 15€ more for prolonged stay as the timing of my bus was changed. But it was OK. I do not complain, just saying that nothing friendly was that about, just pure economy. But in Turkiye many things have 'friendly' price which in the end is just a normal one. The biggest problem with my apartment was that it was always full of smoke/smell from the restaurant downstairs - as the chimney goes over the balcony of apartment. Since the weather is nice, you would want to have doors open to the balcony - but you could always smell the smoke of barbicue and doner and whatever it was prepared/cooked. The second minor minus is that there is a TV in the room but only with turkish channels. Even radios are only with turkish music.

The owner, Konak, is a very nice host and very helpful with all requests. Early check-in and late check-out are a possibility. The apartment is nice and comfortable and only a ten minute walk from Sultanhamet. Grocery and liquor stores just across from the apartment. Some updating of the kitchenette and increase of facilities would be helpful.

The hostel is located in a very interesting part of Istanbul: a small steep road, which is also close to the tram station, convenience stores and many restaurants. I got the room with balcony and partial sea view, and every morning I can see the amazing sunrise from my room. The host, Rifat, is friendly and kind, he helped me with early check-in and currency exchange at good rate. Thank you Rifat for your support!

The place had a fridge and a kitchen with all the necessities. That's very helpful for people staying more than a day and a big grocery store just around the corner. The host was very welcoming, helpful, and friendly. Everything was very clean. The next time I'm in Istanbul, I would definitely considering staying here again.

The perfect location - in the very center but quiet (located on a side street away from loud stores and restaurant). The spacious well equipped room - you get a comfortable bed, a kitchen and a plenty of space between them. Exceptionally welcoming hosts.

We stayed at Old City Pansiyon for just one night, but we really enjoyed our stay. The host was very kind, the location is close to all the main attractions, and the area itself is very pleasant. Unfortunately, the entire area experienced a water outage during the night of our stay. However, the host was thoughtful enough to provide us with a bottle of drinking water, and the water was restored the next day.

Everything was excellent I really enjoyed my stay ?

The studio had a decent size, with a comfortable large bed, a sofa, and two tables. Besides, the balcony was facing the sea and it was relaxing seeing the view when you are standing. The toilet was clean, and the sheets were changed every 2 days. Location is fine if you are mostly interested in old town activities. The windows were massive, getting a lot of sunlight. The AC worked very well in any mode, and the blinds were blocking most of the sun rays when needed. The street was not specially noisy. The kitchen appliances and utensils were dirty enough for me to clean them again (the employees wash them if you don't when they clean the room, so still thank you for that). The hotel is at the end of a long and steep street. As everywhere in Istanbul, better taking a backpack than a suitcase.

The staff was kind and tried to be helpful We were very tired after traveling, so we decided to stay the first night, but there was a strong unpleasant smell and the towels and bedsheets had visible stains, which made us uncomfortable using the facilities. Although we had paid for three nights, we checked out the next morning and found another hotel. I hope the owners will address these issues, as the location has potential, but the current conditions were not as advertised.

The place was perfect. It was in a perfect position, close to the centre and the public transportation. The room was clean, with AC, clean towels and even one-use flip flops. The owner was amazing and very helpful. He organized for us even the taxy for the way back to the airport. Nothing

Breakfast wasn't included. Very good location, it is really near Blue Mosque. The hotel staff was very friendly and responded immediately to requests.

it was an old elegant building, but well maintained. My room had a fabulous shower and the best hot water. The owner, Ezra remarkable man and so helpful I am 86. I would certainly stay there again. The property is definitely only four active seniors. It’s perfect for a younger people.

Absolutely everything was wonderful! Great location, super clean. The air conditioning and heating were both working. Rifat is super kind and helpful. The terrace is a big bonus. A bit noisy, but I think it's like this everywhere in this huge city which never sleeps.

Mr Rifat gave us individual attention during our stay. Apartment was nice and cosy. Good enough for 4 people. It also had washing machine, heater, AC, iron etc. Taxi service was 40€ for 4 people. There are local grocery shops and restaurants just a stone throw away. Enbaba and Istanbul fish and kebab were both delicious. All major spots like Bosphorus, grand bazaar and blue mosque were walking distance from here. Would surely like to come back again in the future. Everything was good
