The room was too small for three, so was the bathroom

The hotel is very close to the bus station and ferries - 5 minutes walking. We had a room at the back which was very quiet. The staff were great. Beds and pillows were really comfortable and the shower had great water pressure! The hotel is on the edge of what is a busy restaurant area and so doesn't suffer from excessive tourism - we were there at the end of April. For us, being close to the heart but not in it exactly was perfect. We were in a triple room and it would be a good idea to have some hooks on the door of the bathroom (on the inside and the outside of the door?) to hang up towels as well as some more coat hangers in the wardrobe. The understandably limited space wasn't in itself a prolem but we missed being able to hang things up out of the way.

The neighborhood is charming and real, capturing the beauty and “hüsün” of Istanbul. Location is great and felt safe for a lone female traveler. Staff were generous and helpful. Lumpy pillows and WiFi doesn’t work in the downstairs (basement) rooms, which is probably a reality of historic architecture.

Staff were friendly and location is great. It felt like I was sitting with the guests in the room next to mine, that’s how thin the walls were. It was very uncomfortable. Even walking across the wooden floor made loud creaking noises, as if I was walking inside their room and they in mine. Every small sound, even coughing, carried straight through the walls. Would not stay there again!

Location is great, walking distance to many restaurants/shops and really close distance to ships. The only disadvantage that I found in this place is that you can hear almost everything that is happening in the lobby/neighboring rooms.

The location is perfect especially if you take the bus from the airport to Kadikoy, main area attractions are short walking distance from the hotel, The front office staff is very welcoming, this was my second visit. All good, it feels like home!

it is a historical building so any noise in the hotel is heard in any rooms, also a very very busy street, the motobykes did not stop all night.

This place was wonderful. Great location, we had a beautiful room with a huge terrace. The staff were sweet. It was definitely worth it. Only that you can hear above floor but was not a big issue.

The hotel is good for having a place to sleep at while in Istanbul. The staff are very helpful and kind. The hotel's location is in a good neighbourhood to explore Istanbul thanks to the numerous means of transportation available in the property's vicinity. It is a hotel more suited for single travellers. The rooms are small, so you can find bigger and more comfortable rooms in other cities for the same price (or cheaper). It is the type of room to which you come back late at night and sleep, whereas in other properties the rooms will be more spacious and thus provide a better price-quality ratio. Also bear in mind that other hotels have breakfast included for a similar (or lower) price, but that might apply mainly outside of Istanbul (or not in the city's areas most densely connected by means of transportation, and/or in areas located not as close to the city centre). I didn't see other rooms except for my own, but maybe it's better to come to this hotel only if you travel alone.

The building is quite old and staying on the ground floor is annoying since you hear every step of the guests on the first floor or those using the staircase.

Rooms are kind of small

Excellent location, walking distance to main attractions (restaurants, shops etc) Tight stairs to access the room.

Owner and staff were helpful and friendly. Allowed me to use their computer to confirm my outgoing flight and print my boarding pass. Provided additional water and coffee at no charge when requested. Sheets were never changed during my 3 night stay. 5-6 ants found on the bed during the last night of my stay. Paper thin walls where snoring, baby cries and overhead walking are clearly and loudly heard. Staff washroom located right outside my room, so that I heard staff coming downstairs and using washroom. Really the building is not designed for serving as a hotel; needs sturdier walls. Also, a seemingly quiet residential street, but deceptively so; loud talking on the streets at ridiculous hours. TV was broken and no one had checked that it needed to be replaced; I only got use of a functional TV on my last day.

The price/quality ratio was great! The location is awesome for both exploring the European and Asian sides of Istanbul since it is just a few minutes from the ferry. The room was spacious and tidy, modestly but beautifully decorated. Blackout blinds! You’re about to get some good sleep if you don’t set an alarm ? The hotel was rather noisy. We were on the first floor and could hear people moving in the upper floors as well as the piping from time to time. The staff, albeit friendly and as helpful as they could, did not speak English and communication was difficult.

Very good

Matches what was advertised, the room felt a little cramped but the bed was big and comfortable. It’s in a perfect location in Kadiköy if you want to live in one of the nicest neighborhoods in Istanbul. It’s an old building so it’s not especially soundproof which means you hear the people staying in the adjoining rooms pretty loud and clear.

Good location, very nice staff The bathroom smelled of sewage and had no ventilation system. We asked for cleaning one day but when we came back the reception said that the room hadn't been cleaned because when they were gonna clean it we were still in the room (we left for a few hours, came back to the room for 45 mins or so, then left again for a few hours, we even saw the mop bucket in front of another room when we left the second time). The floors are very creaky - if someone is walking in the hallway, we felt it on the bed. The lighting in the room is very orange. They had tea packets and a kettle stand, but no kettle and only provided 1 mug.

The cleanliness is top-notch. Whenever I feel the freshness of the bedsheets, I am sure the room is extremely clean. That happened with our room. Also, the bed was out of this world. The location is brilliant, we were close to everything, and I can't recommend this place enough. It is not expensive, but it's so great!

Proximity to Kadikoy Metro and Ferry station and shopping area. Wooden sound when someone walks on the upper floor.

Same issues as you'd face in just about any Istanbul hotel in this price range: no elevator, furniture a bit shabby, thin walls.
