Turna Hotel

The location was central to Sultanahmet, shops, and restaurants. The staff was very kind and always available. The hotel was clean and up to date with hot water, mini fridge, and kettle. The owner was very kind and gave surprises us with various treats- he also helped us arrange airport transfer service.

To be honest, this may have been the best hotel stay I’ve had in years. This was entirely due to an amazing host, Ali, at this family-owned boutique hotel. While there may be more "luxurious" establishments out there, I have never experienced a more caring or hospitable atmosphere. It was a wonderful surprise to feel so genuinely at home. I stayed in Room 401, the only unit on the top floor. It is surrounded by a terrace with stunning 270° views. While the terrace is technically a common area accessible via the main stairs, I had it all to myself during the off-season. The room was clean, cozy, perfectly sized for 1–2 guests, and featured a spacious shower. Although there is no elevator, Ali kindly carried both of my suitcases up and down the stairs. Having 24/7 access to him via WhatsApp for any request made the stay incredibly convenient. The location is excellent - close to all the attractions. I would absolutely recommend this amazing place and hope to come back soon myself!

Ali (I may be misspelling your name - sorry) the host is great, he was helpful with recommendations and assistance when needed. He also provided little treats which were a nice surprise. The room was clean and quiet and the location is great. Walk a little to the west and you will find a nice local neighborhood, quiet parks with a fountain, and even a barber shop to get a shave. In a busy city it is nice to get out of the touristy areas. This hotel is located close to the famous mosques, grand bazar, and the transit lines. I would recommend this hotel to my friends if they wanted affordable, quiet, and great service. The air conditioning worked well and cooled off the room quickly. I felt safe during my stay. The mattress, pillows, sheets, and comforter were cozy and I had no complaints at all with the bed, which to me is the most important part of the room. The bathroom has a bidet, and there was a mini fridge in the room. I can't express enough how wonderful the service was. I really LOVED my whole experience at the Turna Hotel and I have zero complaints but if I had to choose something that I didn't love, the room was on the smaller side. To be fair I totally knew that would be the case when booking, so it isn't like it was misrepresented. This really wasn't a downside and we had an excellent stay. Don't hesitate to book this hotel!!

Ali, who manages the hotel, is simply outstanding. His hospitality is on another level: always smiling, always helpful, and genuinely caring about your stay. Every day there are small presents and thoughtful gestures that make you feel welcomed and appreciated, not just like another guest. The hotel is very clean and well maintained, which is something I value highly. The location is excellent—just a short walk from Sultanahmet and the main historical attractions, yet tucked away enough to feel calm and comfortable. A huge bonus, especially for Istanbul, is that you can park a car. Anyone who has driven in the city center knows how rare and valuable this is. +

Very very very good service. Ali was very good. He helped with our luggages. He also give recommendations on where to eat. He also gave us baklava as welcome gift. The location is good. Very near blue mosque and hagia sophia. Many restaurants around. The hotel also has shared terrace. The bathroom is clean with hot water. I definitely recommend staying in this hotel. Great great value for money. Thin walls, but that's okay. If you are light sleeper, this might be an issue. But you will be tired from touring either way, so you will still sleep well.

Ali ensured that anything needed from assistance with bags, recommendations, any other arrangements were met with kind-heartedness and mindful attention. Absolutely amazing location and value for money, and we couldn't have been more taken care of by our amazing host! He gave us wonderful restaurant and shop recommendations, arranged airport transfers to and from the hotel, and even did laundry for us AND gave us little surprise snacks throughout the stay! We absolutely loved our 5-night stay at this cozy, newly renovated hotel in Istanbul. It’s spotlessly clean, super cozy, and just a 10-minute walk to the Blue Mosque. The highlight of our stay was the amazing host, Ali. He went above and beyond to help with anything we needed—always kind, attentive, and generous with snacks and water. This was hands down our favorite hotel during our whole Turkey trip. Highly recommend!

Good location. Even though the room is not too big, it got everything we need. Very clean and good supplies of everything. The host is very hospitable and solved problems for us if we have a need.

Great Value, Friendly Staff, but Construction Noise: A Mixed Stay The hotel is great value for what you get - a nice clean room and meets all the essential needs. The staff are very friendly and always checking to see if they can help in any way. The location is quite central too and you can walk to the Blue Mosque :) Unfortunately, my stay was disrupted by construction noise outside my room for two nights (one night until 1am and the other night until 5am). While the hotel staff was apologetic and the construction is likely out of their control, the noise was significant enough to prevent sleep, even with earplugs. The construction, which appears to be for a new apartment building, began shortly before my stay and it's likely it will continue for several weeks or months. I was initially told that the noise would be a one-time occurrence, but it unfortunately continued on a second night. Had I known this beforehand, I would have made alternative arrangements. It would have been helpful to receive a heads-up, especially since the hotel staff mentioned speaking with the construction company during the day.

Location, safety and most of all, the service and treatment we received especially from Ali who was attentive to our needs. It's a family owned business, they were so friendly and caring all the time. Definitely a place to recommend. I wouldn't say dislike. However, a bigger room for three guests would have been more comfortable.

Allí was the best host. We felt like we were in our house. He was so kind. He is an amazing person always willing to help. It was incredible. I don't have words to explain how he was. We had a great experience at Turna. The rooms are a very good value, simple and clean and exactly what we needed for our stay in Istanbul. The manager Ali was amazingly helpful and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay, including recommendations in the local area, getting us a fair price on a taxi, and even some treats during our stay and a care package when we left. These were all great touches that we appreciated. The beds were a bit firm for our taste, but of course everyone has their own preference on bed firmness.

READ THIS REVIEW! Turna Pansiyon was really great! The first thing we noticed was how spotlessly clean it was! The budget doubles were small, but the superior triple was quite large. It was really nice to have two budget doubles next to a superior triple because our entire family could be in the same hallway which made getting ready in the morning and organizing the day so much easier. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff! Everyone is so friendly and accommodating! We had two electric wheelchairs which they were constantly helping us bring out to the street for the day and then store for the evening. The beds were very comfortable, and the air conditioners worked great. The showers had very hot water and great water pressure. Location was actually fantastic, and there are lots of delicious, affordable restaurants nearby. Great value!!! Wish the duvet on the king bed was a bit larger.

Great location, very reasonably priced, close to public transportation and friendly staff. We stayed at the top floor and had a big terrace overlooking the Blue mosque. I was sick the first night we arrived here and the lovely staff made me some soup It doesn’t have an elevator so it’s a bit inconvenient if you have heavy luggages

On arrival, we thought the room was a little small, but it was adequate. Any reservations we had were outweighed by the amazing location close to all the big sites in Sultanahmet and the grand bazaar and the T1 tram. It’s a family run business, and our English speaking host, Ali, the son was fantastic…. Super friendly, accommodating, gave us some affordable restaurant options. He did some nice extras for us. It’s a modest hotel, but it is very clean, and we would definitely stay here again. The towels are probably air dried so they are very scratchy.
