However, the hotel itself leaves a bit to be desired. It is definitely in need of some interior upgrades to feel fresh and competitive. One of the biggest disappointments was the rooftop; while it has the potential for a great view, the windows were quite dirty, which really took away from the value of being up there. It’s a great choice if you prioritize location above all else, but the management needs to put some work into the maintenance and aesthetics to make it a top-tier stay. The staff was very helpful. Needs upgrades and more focus on enhancing the roof level dining.

Cosy, warm and very comfortable. The staff were friendly, especially Atilla and Biunuk on reception, who were happy to help with any enquiries I had. The hotel was close to all the main attractions plus restaurants, a supermarket and a pharmacy. Would definitely stay again! All great.

location breakfast staff I had an excellent stay at this hotel, which is perfectly situated in a central location with many attractions within walking distance., less than 5 mins from metro station. The staff were incredibly helpful and polite, and I’d like to give a special shout-out to Atiallah for making us feel welcomed and going the extra mile to make our stay comfortable. The breakfast was basic but fulfilling , never to forget Ms. Isoon, the sunny lady of the breakfast room and say hi to Haidar, I was impressed with the impeccable housekeeping services. I’ll definitely return on my next visit!

We had an excellent experience with the staff at Gulec hotel. Burak and Haydar were exceptionally helpful, they made sure that we had a great time in Istanbul. They booked all the tours, shows for us, even bought tram tickets for us. This is our first time to visit Istanbul, their help was greatly appreciated. We greatly recommend this hotel. It is very clean, closed to everything, breakfast is good. We cannot find anything we don’t like about this hotel. This hotel was like home away from home for us! We like the location very much, it’s walking distance to everything.

Do not expect 4-star facilities as in major global chain hotels. It is a simple family friendly hotel but the value for money for a short trip is excellent. Safe.deposit box in the room was not working when we arrived but they fixed it on the next day. Hotel does not have a restaurant but there is a very good one just across the street (Ross Kebab).

Hotel is advertised by booking as a 4 star. It is a 2 star hotel. Booking also says it has parking, sauna and hammam. It does not have any of these. The bathroom smelled very bad. It had no door handle. It is averybusy and noisy place. Very poor value for money. Booking false advertising about the amenities.

The front desk person was very helpful in suggestions where to eat, booking a tour, other tour options, what is there to do around Istanbul, and what attractions were very close to the Hotel. I wish they had a gym, pool and a restaurant in the hotel
