Hotel Mina – Special Class

Great location. Clean hotel and lovely staff Breakfast at €13 per plate per person.

We stayed 3 nights in this hotel. It is in a very good location. Central near all the historic sightseeing areas and metro line so you can do lots of commuting easily by walking. The staff were very friendly and informative they responded to all our requests instantaneously, and they gave us tips on how to maximize our trip according to the things we desired to do. I highly recommend them to anyone going. Won’t be the last time. Nothing everything was great Would’ve been nice if there was a breakfast buffet included in the booking.

No breakfast was offered. No chair in room to sit upon, but the staff brought us one when we asked.

Pretty much everything in European part of Istanbul is within walking distance.

Location and size of the room A little bit outdated and not super clean

One of the sides of the bathroom was a transparent glass next to the bed, meaning that privacy was very reduced. There were some blinds within the glass but the system to adjust them was broken. If sitting on one side of the bed, you could make direct eye contact with the person sitting on the toilet.

Too small and there is no breakfast serve.

Good location. The WiFi internet was not working at all — there was zero connection. The rooms are very small and either too hot, like a sauna, or too cold. No matter what you ask them, they will not change anything. I asked the staff to bring toilet paper. They said it would take one minute, but it actually took eight hours, after I reminded them again. At checkout, I asked the staff not to touch the white bag that I left at the room door for my friends. It disappeared within five minutes, and they could no longer find it. Even though I asked them not to touch it, they threw it in the garbage. Worst experience ever. I have never had this kind of experience with any other hotel. They will tell you that the internet connection is bad everywhere, but in reality, it only worked badly at their location. Also, when assigning the rooms, they mentioned that it was a room with a great view. However, there was no view at all. I cannot recommend it at all. At the check in, we were clearly informed that we would have a great view from our room. They are writing about the less important things. I was complaining about the internet connection every 20 min and they kept ignoring it. I paid for an extra sim card to have normal internet, cause they refused to do something. Their location has no internet access, and this is important to know if you choose to stay there. About the bag that they lost, their staff told me that I can leave it at the door. They don't speak proper English, so most of the time they don't understand you, and it creates misunderstandings. I believe it's very important that the person at the reception speaks proper English. They are talking about a parking space, but I have no idea what they are talking about. I've requested toilet paper - they ignored it. I've requested heating the room - they made it a sauna I told them that in the room are 27C - they said ok. Be very careful with this hotel.

Location, facility and room During the stay I smelled cigarette smoke.

The staff were great and very helpful throughout our stay. The room was comfortable and spacious, making it easy to relax. The location is excellent, right in Sultanahmet, within walking distance of major attractions. Toothbrush and toothpaste were not provided, which would have been a nice basic amenity to include.

Amazing! It was really close to all the important landmarks of Istanbul. The staff were really friendly and they helped us about what we should see in Istanbul. I totally recommend it!!

My second home! Stayed here for a month. Loved the staff. Every one of them. Thank you to them! Amazing cleaning crew. Very clean hotel and very professional. THE MOST COMFORTABLE AND GREATEST QUALITY OF PILLOWS, SHEETS AND BEDS of all the hotels I’ve been to in Istanbul. They have an amazing rooftop with absolutely beautiful views of sultan Ahmet and the mosques. No complaints

The location in the old city was brilliant. We could walk to all the main sites of interest on the waterfront and walk t he other way to the Grand Bazaar. Lots of little little restaurants close. Very helpful staff. The view from the rooftop terrace was fabulous! And it had a small lift.

Honestly, I have nothing bad to say about this hotel. From the first moment I checked in, I have continued over and over again to extend my stay. The rooms are magnificent. Great value for the cost. Very clean and very well-maintained. It’s in such a great location close to everything. It’s close to the tram and the main shopping areas of Sultan Ahmet. The staff who works here has made my stay here so pleasant. Mr. Ali and his colleagues are so supportive, professional, kind and made me feel right at home. I truly can’t thank them enough for making my stay here so wonderful. Due to such a great customer service from Mr. Ali I’ve decided to come back again and extend my stay for weeks here. I recommend this hotel to anyone who’s coming to visit Istanbul. I’ve had both the queen suite and a superior room. The views are unforgettable. They have a sixth floor entrance to the rooftop, which has some of the most beautiful views of the mosques and the Sultan Ahmet area. I loved everything!

Best location in the city... Just few steps away from Hagia Sophia, Topkapi palace and Sultan Ahmed Mosque.
