Hotel Boursier 1 & SPA Istanbul

The location, the clean room and the parking area. It was very noisy, everything could be heard from the rooms next to and above us. And the bedroom didn't have one common mattress, but two, and if you get in the middle you sink into the hole. Also the duvet cover was very short and someone kept unwrapping it. For this price there could have been breakfast included but instead there is a spa which is in another building.

Staff was very polite and ready to help any time. Especially mr. Ufuk and the housekeeping. The location is great. You can take the metro all the way down Istanbul. Taxi's are also able to get you everywhere in 10-15 mins. Some critical points: - The breakfast was poor for a 4 star hotel. Had it once, in the 2 weeks I stayed. It was not worth getting up for in the morning. Alot of people in the reviews complained about the breakfast, the owners should really start looking into this. - Rooms are not soundproof as the hotel states in the description. (Could hear people from the other rooms) - Several power outages for the last 4 days I stayed. - Sauna isnt segregated.

Great bed and even greater pillow. Comfy room with wonderful view. Very helpful staff. Awesome Wifi. Breakfast could be better. Its poorness surprisingly does not correspond to the rest of the hotel.

Nothing was acceptable, apart from the location (if one wants to be close to the business areas). Rating vs. Reality: The hotel boasts a 4-star rating, but in my opinion, it falls significantly short of that standard. It seems as if it may have earned its stars a couple of decades ago, but it has since lost its shine. The furniture is old and not maintained, as well as dirty. Cleanliness: Upon entering the hotel, the reception area left much to be desired. Dust accumulation in corners, oily floors, and dirty windows were disappointing first impressions. The elevator was also lacking in cleanliness and had a persistent food odor from the adjacent restaurant, which did not offer fresh or quality ingredients. Room Conditions: The hallways and rooms were a continuation of the cleanliness issue. Dirty and smelly carpets (smell of feet & sweat, everyday) seemed to be a recurring theme. In my room, I encountered an unsettling surprise: cockroaches (!!) in the bathroom. Spa Experience: The spa, a place that should be synonymous with hygiene and relaxation, unfortunately, fell short of expectations. The use of outdoor shoes by the staff and the excessive nightclub-style lighting, complete with plastic plants, created an ambiance that felt more like a low-budget establishment. Breakfast: The breakfast offered was disappointing, with a limited selection that included hard-boiled eggs, questionable cheese, spring rolls (an unusual choice for breakfast), and fries. Additionally, guests had to walk to another building to access the breakfast area, which was an inconvenience. Nighttime Disturbances: One unfortunate aspect of my stay was the disruptive behavior of some guests during the night, which included loud and inappropriate activities in the neighbouring rooms that woke me up several times in the night. This issue significantly impacted the overall quality of my stay.
