Only the location They never changed the bed sheet, there was no one as staff to help Clean towels were put on the open bed No restauranr no breakfast option Staff was very grumpy Room was too small and not comfortable Shower head was not working

Didnt change bed sheet for 4 days. Bad cleaning. Shoe marks when we checked in. Smells bad. Crane in toilet didnt work and nobody fixed it even when we informed the first day. It didnt need to be so big(sarcastic). This was the smallest room i stayed in my life. You could barely stand up together.

Everything was very good , the staff is kind and the location is perfect near to the sea and the public transportation The rooms is small , And the house keeper throw one of our bags contains care products without asking if it is a garbage or not and this made us really sad :(

It worked well, except for a power outage that I guess was not the hotel’s fault. But the water was still warm etc. Excellent location close to the main ferry pier, the main tram line, and lots of restaurants etc. The room was not as tight sized as other reviews might suggest The hotel itself was alright, but all of Turkey has the drawback that you can’t throw toilet paper in the toilet, and sometimes there is a bad odor there.

Small rooms. AC wasn’t working the first night. No shared area to rest/sit.

The location The bathroom was very bad, the toilet is touching the shower glass, there is no space for an adult to sit. when we asked for help to check other rooms, they weren’t helpful. The bathroom photos on the website they are not showing that issue.

The noise is due to the thin walls and doors. The neighbors was noisy.

Room is a bit small but that is a tradeoff with the location. The hotel does not offer breakfast included in the room price but there is a cafe next door which offers low price breakfast.

The breakfast choices were excellent a good variety to choose from. The location was also pleasant and the staff were very helpful. The management and receptionist, her name was Bagar all went out of their way to assist. I would stay at the Opal Hotel again. the room had no storage area for my luggage and very tight to get around the bed

The location is perfect. So many small streets with bar and restaurants. Also close to the Bosphore to have a nice walk. Close to the tram that brings you directly to Sultanamet were you can visit all the important historical monuments. Staff was very nice and helpful but it feels like there is no manager that would sort all the small issues. There is lots of small things to repair: clogged sinks and shower, smell from the pipes, no wardrobe no matter which room (even the panorama room has no closet). The crib was broken… it wouldn’t cost that much to buy a new one. Not clear on the pricing for the laundry service. Breakfast only opens at 8.30am.

The only positive aspect of this hotel is its location, which is truly excellent and could have been a major advantage. Unfortunately, everything else was a huge disappointment. The room was extremely dirty, with hair on the sheets and towels thrown on the floor. The bathroom faucet was broken — as soon as you opened it, it would shut off immediately. There was dust everywhere, torn curtains, a cut electrical cord on an old, dangerous hairdryer, and visible dampness and humidity on the walls. Heating was insufficient, and there was a constant sewage smell throughout the night with no ventilation available. We even found chewing gum stuck to the bathroom door, while inside the bathroom there were clear signs of mold and mildew. The building overall is poorly maintained and feels neglected. We asked to change rooms because of the unacceptable condition, and even the second room they offered us was just as bad. Moreover, we requested some understanding — considering that a recent earthquake had affected the city and we wished to leave — either in the form of a credit note or a better price for a future stay. Our request was categorically refused without any willingness to help. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. It urgently needs renovation and much better management.

Only the location I had an absolutely dreadful experience at Hotel Opale in Turkey, where I stayed from the 18th to the 21st. We arrived at 6:00 AM, exhausted after a 12-hour drive, hoping to check in earlier. The hotel staff only spoke Turkish, and communicating through Google Translate was frustrating and slow. We were told to come back at 10:00 AM, but we were refused access to the reception toilet until 8:00 AM, which is completely unacceptable for a hotel with 24/7 reception. By 10:00 AM, the room was still not ready, and from that point on, we were called every two hours, being assured that the room would be ready soon. If we had been told from the beginning that early check-in wasn't possible, we wouldn't have wasted our time waiting. Finally, at 2:00 PM (the official check-in time), we arrived at our room to find it in a deplorable condition: unmade bed, towels on the floor, a clogged sink, and a flooded shower ceiling (pictures attached). The manager, seeing our dissatisfaction, got upset that we took photos and suggested we move to another hotel, promising to refund us via Booking. Searching for another hotel after 18 hours without sleep was impossible, especially since we had already paid in advance at a discounted rate. After insisting, the manager told us that he would give us another room and that we should wait at the reception. The surprise was that we got the same room, with only some of the issues resolved, but the shower ceiling problem remained unresolved. We asked for the issue to be addressed later, but no one ever came back to fix it by the end of the season. Additionally, the deluxe room we received had an interconnecting door to the next room, something we were never informed about at booking, which made every conversation from the neighboring guests unbearable. Another absolutely appalling aspect was the parking, which was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel.

The location 10/10. Only the location is perfect nothing else. The room size fair enough for me. Poor soundproof 0/10. I hear everything around me. No double bed 0/10. Only single bed put it together. No new towels 0/10. When I arrived Air conditioning wasn't working. Mr. Hakan fixed before I returned from dinner.

The deluxe room was ridiculously small and very misleading when they put deluxe things were broken or falling apart in the room, including the ceiling it was barely cleaned. And they put the bare minimal. I always had to ask for additional toilet paper they never replaced anything that I used.
