The staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Location was fantastic. Rooms comfortable and clean. Nice breakfast at a good price. I was especially impressed with the character of the checkin. Ali went above and beyond during my stay to help me feel comfortable and make travel arrangements. His customer service was top notch, and I was truly thankful and grateful for his help. I would highly recommend Primero Hotel for a lovely stay in Istanbul. I don't have any complaints.

Great Value Stay in the Heart of Istanbul This hotel offers excellent value for money, especially considering its prime location in Istanbul. Everything is within walking distance—restaurants, cafés, shops, and cultural spots—making it very convenient to explore the city on foot. Staying here really allows you to experience the Turkish culture up close. The surrounding area is lively, full of energy, and has many friendly locals that add to the charm of the stay. The hotel itself is well-located on a vibrant street, which makes it easy to step out and enjoy food, drinks, and sightseeing at any time of the day. Despite being in a busy area, it still feels comfortable and accessible. The staff around the hotel and nearby restaurants are very friendly and welcoming, which adds to the overall positive experience. Overall, this is a solid choice for travellers looking for a budget-friendly stay in a central location with great access to everything Istanbul has to offer. Excellent value for the price. This stay was part of a quick one-night turnaround as I had a flight to catch the next day. Being a frequent visitor to Istanbul, I chose this hotel mainly for its central location—and in that aspect, it did not disappoint. The location is excellent and very convenient for exploring the city. However, there were several challenges during the stay. Upon arrival, I found that the street leading directly to the hotel was closed. Although nearby access points were visible with vehicles passing, I was informed by staff that entry was restricted, so I had to carry my luggage up a steep, hilly street in the old city, which was quite inconvenient after travel. The room itself was compact, which is expected for central Istanbul, but a few functional issues affected comfort. The in-room phone was not working, requiring me to go down to reception for any requests. A tea request was made but unfortunately never arrived. There was also confusion regarding WiFi access, as I was initially told the password was incorrect, though it later appeared the details provided were wrong. Sleep quality was affected by noise from neighbouring rooms and frequent door slamming throughout the night. A major discomfort occurred in the morning when there was no water supply in the bathroom at all, which made it impossible to use the washroom or freshen up. As there was no working in-room phone, I had to go down again to reception, where I was informed that maintenance work was ongoing and water would be restored in about half an hour. This significantly impacted comfort and convenience during the stay. When requesting a taxi, I was asked to pay in cash despite preferring card payment. Later, it seemed the fare was higher compared to standard local taxi rates, as outside taxis were offering significantly lower prices. On a positive note, staff member Mehmood was helpful and assisted with carrying luggage to the main street, which I appreciated.

The location was great, right near most of the main attractions. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was okay.

The location is not the most attractive, as it is surrounded by many wholesale warehouses (shoes, merchandise, etc.). However, it is relatively close to the main attractions, either on foot or by tram, which makes it convenient. The building looks nice from the outside. For a short stay, the hotel is functional. What truly makes the difference is the hotel manager, Erhan. He is the reason my overall review is positive. He transforms any average experience into a good one. He was kind, polite, respectful, and very helpful. He gets a full 10 points in my review, an excellent person. I wish he were there every day and that the rest of the team would learn from him. If the price and location work for you, this hotel can be a good option. The breakfast offers some variety, but the quality of the products could definitely be improved, it’s not very appealing. Small details, like a toaster that doesn’t work, should be easy for the hotel to fix. Also, the breakfast starting time at 8:00 AM is quite late. Many tours begin earlier, so guests should be able to have breakfast sooner. Most hotels typically start breakfast between 6:30 and 7:00 AM. Everything is quite small, the rooms, the bathroom, and the general spaces. Of course, there’s not much that can be done if the property is structurally limited. The TV is also very small; upgrading to a larger size would improve the experience. Some members of the staff could improve in terms of friendliness and customer service.

The hotel was very clean, with housekeeping always done on time. The breakfast was very good, and the staff were extremely responsive and helpful. Ali and Azer were especially kind and assisted us every time we needed something. There was nothing we didn’t like during our stay. Everything met our expectations and ran smoothly. We stayed for 6 nights so didnt feel any difficulty. A little noisy street during early morning but thats understandable since its a central location with shops and restaurants.

The hotel is in very good location of the old town. Everything is just walkable. We did really enjoy that.

Breakfast was good, there was a variety of food available. The location of the the hotel was excellent, it was only a 10 minute walk to Hagia Sofia and the Blue Mosque. The staff at the hotel are extremely polite and helpful and met all our needs. Especially Semi and Ozgur at reception and also Imam. N/A

It's actually difficult to find a complaint about this wonderful hotel. If I had to make any criticism it would be that the bedsheets are not very soft.
