Jiufen Aromatherapy B&B

Beautiful place with stunning views, right next to the main section of Jiufen but in its own peaceful location

Once in a lifetime opportunity experience to become part of the fabric of the Jiufen mountains. The walls are old Stone and Mountain with moss and plants. I felt like I’d stepped into a fairytale. This house has so much character and the host could not do enough for us. The delicious soup she prepared for our dinner was a lovely touch. There are so many trinkets in and around the house you can spend the whole day just looking. Like a cave of wonders. Breakfast is provided and there is a stove to cook eggs etc. I loved everything. ***I would not recommend this to someone who wants something “minimalist” or “separate from nature” it’s very down to earth and homely.***

The house is full of things of any kind showing that people are living there most of the time then you cannot feel "at home". At arrival, bin not empty, no toilet paper roll.

The property is beautiful and comfortable. It was a great experience. We particularly liked the cats, the vegetable soup, and the view. One cannot leave bags at the property before check-in and after check-in to hopefully allow for one to get around Jiufen without bags.

So glad we decided to stay the night on Jiufen! The best BNB experience (much better than hotels in the city) because of how charming and rustic the place is. You can tell the house, albeit old, is so loved and taken care of. It’s a BNB with warmth, character and animals (2 cats by the porch and plenty more dog and cat stuff around the house). We stayed in early January (a relatively cold month in Taipei) and found the whole place toasted with a heater and a coal fireplace. Kept us dry and cosy after walks around Jiufen. It could get very damp, and the BNB provided umbrellas. The shower water was great! There is no issue with the temperature. The host even made us a welcome soup with many vegetables and mushrooms! So delicious and just a very thoughtful gesture! She supplied us with many extra food (packaged noodles, bread and eggs) and beverages (coffee, tea and milk). Though we’d planned to eat in the village, we didn’t get to try many of her prepared items. I highly recommend it and hope to be back soon! Next time, I’ll be sure to book the aromatherapy as it’s just the most relaxing place to enjoy a massage! Google Maps almost got the direction correct... almost!! Had to call the host to get us.

It’s a unique experience to stay at this hundred years old house. The hostess was very friendly.

Exceptional

The location was great, just a few minutes walk from Jiufen Old Street. The host was lovely and had a breakfast ready for me each morning, with fruits, protein and veggie! The place was very cute, built right into the side of the mountain. It made me feel like I was living in a fairy tale. :)

I really love the accommodation, we had the whole unit to ourselves and it was so spacious! Accommodation came with lots of food supplies and host even cooked a pot of hot soup and rice for us for breakfast. Really really enjoyable countryside experience, you can reach jiufen old street in 10mins walk. Abit of climbing uphill but minimal!

My stay here for 1 night was magical. The lady (whose name I can't remember!) met me off the bus and showed me the accomodation. She had made some delicious food and heated it up for me! The accomodation is so cosy and has the most amazing view and cats to welcome you home. 5min walk away from central Jiufen. Can't recommend more. Nothing
