Room ia veey spacious. It is japanese style, but the bed is raised, about a hand. You can leave luggage: only guests have access to front door, and there is camera in the kitchen where luggage is stored It is close to the main shopping lane, so it is easy access. See pictures so you can navogate an alternate route without stairs if you sfay in Building B. So important to read which building before climbing stairs. At bus stop "Jiufen old street", cross and walk the direction of the bus to 7Eleven, turn left into the old atreet (1st pic)Then turn left at the cafe (2nd pic), then left and the Ocarina store (3RD) and building is to your right (4th). You can go to hotel to bus using the stairs, or if you don't have luggage. I like everything there. Maybe a cloth drying rack my help but my shirts are dried overnight. The dehumidifier helps a lot.

Room was comfortable Check in was dicey - the qr code to get in to the room did not work the first time. The place is hard to find if using Google Maps - a print out directs you to a different building.

Good location with big rooms.

The room was clean and comfortable. The location itself is not bad as it is close to Old Jiufen Street, however it is impossible to find. It took me half an hour of walking all over the city with luggage trying to find the house. There are apparently TWO different houses so pay attention to which you book. I would have paid more for a hotel that was easier to find and access.

Good location at the top of the mountain. Clean. Took a few minutes to figure out the entry but was able to manage. Nice view. Humidifier in the room was needed. Bathroom was a wet bath but worked well. Note there are two buildings so go to the correct one.

The location of this was 10/10 for Jiufen as it was smack bang in the middle of Jiufen! And Jiufen was unreal! But i have got to say that it was quite cheap The service of reception was unfriendly as we had issues with getting our QR code and checking in. The lady was rude and unhelpful, it was frustrating as we were tired and a struggle to get there with our heavy luggage and the uphill, tight roads and crowded area. Expect it to be a bit hard to find and get to if you get there by bus. The rooms are tiny and walls are thin and you could hear the rooms next door. I wouldnt say that our room looked like the pictures, small crammed and no balcony. Theres is also a lot of stairs just to get to level 1 where the rooms are it maybe slippery on rainy days and hard with big luggage and suitcase. We stayed for a 2 nights and explored other areas near by and found that its easier and decent price to just travel via taxi as it is quite far from everything else. One night stay for Jiufen would had been enough.

The process needs some work to be more seamless.

Comfortable, clean, and amazing views from the room. Staff was very accommodating and gave us recommendations for nearby must eats! The location was great, close by the bus stop and a few feet away from Jiufen Old Street.

Once I was able to find this hotel, the location was good - just a half block or so from the main tourist stroll of shops and food, and a few blocks from the bus station. It was impossible to find, and don't try using Google Maps. It took me on a wild climb up above the town, with luggage in tow. When a local saw me and offered to help me find where I was actually needing to go, he needed me to give him the Chinese name before he could find his way to help me. When I walked into the lobby, immediately the staff asked if I had gotten lost. Apparently everyone does. They said that they had no control to post directions on the listing site as it is managed by a remote company. When I contacted that company with a suggestion that they offer a detailed description of how to find this hotel, they said since they don't live in this town, they could not provide the directions. The room struck me as about as charming as a dorm room at college. The mattress sat on the floor of a raised platform that you needed to step up onto but then you needed to step down from to get into the bathroom, before stepping over a big ledge to get into the bathroom. You step immediately into the shower area before you can get to the sink and toilet. It is all one little space with no way to keep water from the sink and toilet area. There was a very small view of the ocean from the window, but the window is small and dirty looking from the sea air. There is no hot water kettle in the room, but a carafe that could keep water hot if you filled it up 3 floors below and carried it up. The bedside lamp did not work. The room is 3 floors up with no elevator. The charming rooftop area one review referenced was not a part of this building. The staff were friendly and helpful with only one staff member who could speak English, so depending on when you might need to talk with them, you might need to use Google Translate. The little town itself was not as charming as portrayed, and food options were not great. Much better food in the markets in Taipei. Some of the vendors along the tourist stroll area were clearly worn out and somewhat hostile.

This was a short walk from the main entrance of Jiufen so it was perfect for all of our luggage and stroller because it was the shortest possible walk while still being in the thick of things. (No elevator.) They provided clean cold/hot water and some snacks which was very nice. The rooftop was the best part. We didn’t see this view anywhere else walking in Jiufen so it felt very special!

Didn't have anyone cleaning the room everyday.

PERFECT location, right on the path to the Jiufen Old Street. You can see some of the red latterns from the room balcony. We loved how close it was to visiting the old street, and by 10pm the entire town was quiet and we sat on the balcony enjoying the quietness and watched the lights of the town. nothing, it was absolutely perfect!

Staff super helpful, gave me lots of recommendations Nothing for the price - it was great value
