Very good location, spectacular view mold in the caulking around the tub, took a while for the room to cool down

The location was absolutely perfect!! Close to the bus stop so we were able to drop our bags and explore or freshen up midday. Close to all the attractions, you could go in any direction and you were still not too far from the B&B. Staff was super friendly! Good, cool AC for those hot summers. It’s a little inconvenient there is no elevator but we knew that going into it and it wasn’t an issue!

This is such a fabulous location and the view from our 3rd floor room was beautiful! Nothing at all- all good.

Location Filthy, stains on bedsheets & room is super old with peeling wallpapers.

Comfortable room, excellent location Lots of stairs

There is a seller right below the hotel that plays a flute ALL DAY LONG. From 9am until almost 9pm - even with the windows closed you can hear it and it drove me crazy! I know that has nothing to do with the hotel but it really affected my stay and my ability to rest and relax. The breakfast was disappointing.

Fantastic views and easy access off of Main Street. The kind staff let us leave our luggage in the lobby prior to checking in as we were very early.

Excellent location on the main tourist street, just steps from all the shops and tea houses. Great restaurant with a multi-course breakfast. Room was clean and staff were very kind. Due to plumbing infrastructure, you’re instructed not to flush toilet paper and dispose in the bathroom trash bin. Just something to deal with in the Taiwan mountains.

The location was fantastic! Nestled right in the middle of the shops in Jiufen, you could reach shops within 5 steps of the B&B entrance. Many others are up on hills or farther away, this is neither! The rooms are small, but it’s completely understandable since the whole area is relatively small. Expect to carry your luggage up stairs as there’s no elevator. I was in a room by myself but 2 would certainly be tight.

Wonderful location, short walking distance from the 965 bus stop (NT$90 one-way per person direct from Taipei). Large sign “Golden Cafe” (hotel’s in-house cafe serving very good Taiwanese beef noodles and breakfast). The staff couldn’t be more courteous and accommodating. All manner of shops selling food/beverages, knick knacks and souvenirs are in the multiple narrow alleyways right outside the hotel. The hotel only accepts cash; there is an ATM in the 7-Eleven nearby. Elderly guests and the infirm should note that there are LOTS of steps to get to the guest rooms (the best room in the house is on the 4th floor) and there is no elevator. Both my husband I are in our 70s with foot ailments but we made it just fine by navigating the steps to/from our 3rd floor room carefully and slowly.

Location , it’s the center of the area . It’s easy & convenient for the first time tourist In our room, there are two toilets , but Shower area is not satisfying

The location is simply perfect coz its conveniently located inside Jiufen old street, staff are friendly and helpful and the breakfast is great. The welcome drinks upon arrival are also superb. The food served at the cafe is simply delicious...many varieties to choose from. The room is generally ok . The shower area in the washroom is rather inconvenient as there's no partition between the shower area and the wash basin.

Exceptional

Location is excellent, right in the market (can be a little noisy). The greeting by staff was excellent too. The whole building has real character. Rooms were clean and modern (which was not expected having seen the hallways) with comfortable beds. Room (s) were very small, in the market, i guess space is tight. Bathrooms were fine, but the shower was a little too tight.

We like the sea-view. The bed was comfortable. We like that there were snacks and bottled water. We loved the toilet. Bathroom had a distinct odor. The door leading out to the balcony made a creaking noise because of rust.

Strategic location just at the old street, near to entrance. Complimentary drinks upon arrival. Not convenient for travellers with young kids and big luggage, not accessible by car. Have to walk a distance to reach. No fantastic view as compared to other homestay (need to walk further way up to reach).
