Gorgeous property, every detail was beautiful. There was nothing to not like.

Amazing hospitality, the food was mind blowing

I visited the property 3 years ago and I still think is one of the best properties around

Everything was top-notch. The courtyard was beautiful and a lovely place to relax. The room was very spacious and well furnished, and there is a very nice alcove area near the windows that overlook the courtyard. The staff was truly exceptional: they were incredibly friendly and kind, and they were extremely attentive to all of the guest’s needs and in fact remembered the guest’s exact preferences for food orders, for example. The breakfast was very varied and plentiful—a wonderful way to get the day off to a strong start. In short, I could not asked for a nicer stay—it was the perfect place for mec to stay while I was in Jodhpur.. Nothing. Everything was top-notch.

The property is tucked on a side street, away from the main road. So no traffic noise. It looks quite unassuming from outside but once you enter the main gate, it's a different world inside. Really nice. The dim lighting in the dining area. I can understand dim lights at the tables and in the dining hall during dinner. It was really dim even for breakfast. When asked to increase it the staff informed that it cannot be done. I think the day should start with bright light, if possible, even some sunlight filtering into the hall.

If there were a higher rating than 10.0, I would give it to Daspan House. It is truly an oasis of peace and comfort in a hectic city. Our room was large, comfortable, quiet and beautifully furnished. The garden is lovely to sit in, the pool area is beautiful, the restaurant is great, the bar is adorable and also serves light meals. The staff is friendly and efficient. The breakfast menu is amazing. This is a stately home turned into a hotel in the very best way. If you need to stay closer to the old city (and put up with noise and cramped spaces) that makes sense. Daspan House requires a 20 minute taxi ride to get to the Clocktower. But if that is not your priority, you simply must explore Daspan. Possibly the best hotel in the country! Dinner not served till 7 pm - but there’s some food at the bar earlier

Charming property, wonderful ambience, lovely food and nice comfy rooms. Breakfast hall could do with better lighting.. It's far too dim and depressing but the garden and outdoor dining are lovely. The staff are exceptionally warm and welcoming.. we loved every bit of our stay!

Very pretty property. Gorgeous garden. Mandatory christmas party for all guests of $60 per person; only serving finger foods and limited cocktails. After complaining to three managers we received a complimentary dinner. Over all the most expensive hotel we stayed at and the worst service. The price is nowhere near fair for the value. Do not recommend.

Beautiful calm little oasis in busy Jodhpur. The hotel had restaurant, bar, and great garden to relax outside and plenty of space. While hotel was slightly on the pricier side, it was well worth it. Always happy to come back! The staff was extremely polite but service at times slightly slow (mostly for teas in the garden). Nothing else to remark.

The property was stunning and the service was a 10/10 The sound from the streets was a bit disturbing early in the morning.

The room is spacious for the deluxe and it’s great.

Absolutely stunning place, the environment is quaint and serene and prefect gateway! Anup was amazing with his service and we can’t wait to be back for a longer stay next time!

Our suite was lovely, new and very clean. Staff were very helpful. Pool area was a lovely addition. Restaurant is very dark and dimly lit, the windows are opaque because the side of the restaurant backs onto neighboring streets and views wouldn’t be good if you could see through the glass. The lighting could be improved with brighter bulbs, especially for breakfast. It was too cold to eat outside & there weren’t any heaters in the courtyard. We used the Restuarant on our second evening. We were told my lasagna would take about 30-45 minutes which we said was fine but they asked my partner if he wanted his meal before mine, we declined as we wanted to eat together! Despite this his came out and mine followed 5 minutes later. It was very tasty, until I got into the middle and it was stone cold, it had clearly been frozen and reheated. The western Restuarant menu looked very nice but I’m afraid it would appear they may not be able to cater for it following my experience. It’s not cheap either so not good value for money. We had the Mez platter to start which was very nice but you can’t go wrong with that. Would I eat at the hotel again in the evening, in short no, drinks were also quite expensive as well.

Construction was going on throughout the property there was smell of wood, cement dust, the pool was closed, no information was given prior and the prices remained like that of a 5 star

The Daspan House is absolutely exceptional. Small, gorgeously decorated throughout, spacious and beautiful bedroom. Everything is to perfection. Such helpful and friendly staff. The best place we have stayed in in India! Highly recommend!

History, architecture & decor

The staff were very helpful. The room was fabulous and the food was excellent.

The property is amazing! The architecture is stunning with large rooms and beautiful garden and a great pool. The staff was amazing. The building in the front took the marvelous view of Daspan house. And the food was ok but could have been better serving.
