.... That I stayed for just two days....

The room was very nice and clean. Bed was super comfortable and the breakfast was great! Nothing negative to say!

The staff member servicing breakfast on the second day had no idea what was going on. She should have been with someone senior to show her the ropes.

As always excellent breakfast! Love the beautiful garden! Highly recommended!

Excellent Everything was excellent

From the moment we arrived at this enjoyable guest house, we were warmly welcomed. The staff went above and beyond to ensure every detail of our stay was perfect, greeting us with a friendly smile. The room was spotlessly clean. Each morning, we were treated to a delicious homemade breakfast that set a wonderful tone for the day. The tranquil garden offered a peaceful retreat where we could unwind after a day. What truly set this guest house apart was the atmosphere of care and attention to detail. It’s clear that the hosts take great pride in their establishment, creating an experience that felt both personal and luxurious.

The gardens around the property are phenomenal, simply beautiful. Plenty of birdlife around to watch while you are having breakfast. Breakfast is exceptional, fresh ingredients and prepared by staff that know what they are doing, a big thumbs up! The location is quiet and peaceful, a little oasis in Johannesburg. I also enjoyed the antique furniture that you can find in the property. Well taken care of pieces of history! I can highly recommend this place and I will be back for sure! I stayed in room 5 and one of the bathroom light bulbs was not working.

Everything in and about Burkleigh House The foam on the bed was too soft....a semi orthopedic foam will be better to avoid back pain

The breakfast was exquisite and accomodated a wide range of tastes. Everything about Burkleigh house is simply spectacular, nice location, calmness and excellent staff Extend the check-in time

The room was lovely and clean, nicely furnished and the gardens were beautiful. The breakfasts were delicious The outdoor breakfast patio was right outside my door and the guests taking early morning breakfast at 7am were very loud on all 3 mornings I was there. It would’ve been nice to have someone remind guests to be respectful of people still sleeping, like overseas guests with jet lag. I would have also appreciated replenishment of bottled water on days 2 and 3 as I was told the tap water isn’t safe to drink. I received 2 small bottles on day 1 only

Nice property and friendly staff. Beautiful grounds (with flowers and varied english garden) and very quiet neighborhood. My stay felt like I was sneaking in pass 9pm at my grandma house.

Leading up to my stay at Burkleigh House I had requested to be able to do an early check-in and also have my Fiance be accompanied by some family and friends. The management met my every request. The room was squeaky clean, beautiful and very comfortable. The next morning, we had an amazing breakfast with the kindest of staff constantly making sure we have everything we desire. We truly loved our stay and appreciate the management accommodating our every request. We have no complaints.
