City Lodge Hotel at OR Tambo International Airport

Locality.

Convenience for airport layover. Restaurant..good bkft and good food in general.

It was great to have unlimited drinking water from the water stations. The breakfast buffet was great. Location, being adjacent to the airport, was great. I could easily catch a quick bite or do some souvenir shopping. I had lunch on the first day and the food was good but service was really slow. It made me hesitate to eat in the restaurant again.

Proximity to airport terminals. Location couldn’t have been better. Room was quiet, clean and comfortable. Restaurant wasn’t my favorite aspect. I was there three different stays and the menu got old. Limited unless you got Buffett, and that was too much food for me. Service was kind of slow.

Convenience to airport Walking thru terminal

Breakfast is great, but it is not always included in the Booking.com bookings, so pay attention when booking the room. Perfect location for getting in an out of the airport. Great staff. The water stations are a nice touch. This is our go-to hotel when we want to break up a trip that connects through Johannesburg. We wish they would have conditioner available and we are not a huge fan of the "bar-soap" shampoo, though it does actually work pretty well. Wash clothes would be a nice addition. The bathroom tends to be a little cold during the winter as there is no temperature control in there. The hallways of the hotel are really cold, we wore jackets to go between our room and the restaurant. Sounds like a lot, but these are pretty minor complaints and are meant more as constructive criticism. Overall, we still really like this hotel and would stay here again.

Very good service and best breakfast buffet ever

Easy walk within OR Tambo, perfect for late arrivals or early departures. Staff keeps getting better! We were serenaded by the City Lodge Staff Choir at breakfast. I booked two rooms and they were on opposite wings of the hotel.

Location. Right next to car rentals and airport.

City Lodge is a great value and experience. Within O R Tambo, it is perfect for late arrivals or early departures. Check in is efficient, rooms are comfortable and the restaurant provides nice meals in a beautifully decorated setting. No complaints
