**Perfect Airport Hotel – Convenient, Comfortable, and Excellent Service** We stayed at the InterContinental Johannesburg OR Tambo Airport Hotel by IHG for one night before our flight to Victoria Falls , and it was the perfect choice for an airport layover. The location is unbeatable—just a short walk from the airport terminal, making travel completely stress-free. After a long journey, it was wonderful to arrive at such a comfortable and well-maintained hotel without needing additional transportation. The hotel is spotless, modern, and very well maintained. Our room was quiet, comfortable, and provided a great night's sleep before our next flight. We were pleasantly surprised by the hotel's restaurant. The food was excellent, the service was attentive and professional, and the prices were very reasonable considering the quality and convenience. What really stood out was the exceptional hospitality. Every member of the staff was friendly, welcoming, and eager to help. We were traveling with several large suitcases, and the team handled everything for us—from assisting with our luggage at check-in to helping us all the way back to the airport terminal the following day. Their service made our travel experience effortless. A special thank you to the front desk team for upgrading us to complimentary breakfast. The breakfast buffet was outstanding, with a wide variety of fresh and delicious options to suit every taste, making it the perfect start to our day. Very convenient, enjoy the location , it is the only 5 * that close to the airport. Staff generally very helpful and friendly. The Camelot spa is fantastic, highly recommend. Room smelled of smoke, I was overcharged for the accommodation, they did not use my booking.com rate. I only realized later. It took a full 6 weeks to get a refund with lots of follow-up..... Restaurant although very good is exceptionally expensive for South Africans.

So easy for a rest day in JNB. It’s pricey, but first class service and lovely rooms. The gym has a great view. The breakfast is amazing!

- excellent location, hotel is just next to the airport - concierge helped us wheel our luggage to the airport for check-in We paid for a Classic King Room at SGD618.28 per nite on 10/5/26. We have the following issues: 1/ water don't stop flowing after a flush 2/ sliding door to toilet couldn't slide smoothly and got stuck when pushed fully into the recess and we couldn't get it to close again, we have to call the technician twice. 3/ water provided in 200-250 ml bottle was insufficient for brushing teeth, making tea and drinking and they won't give more than 2 when we needed more 4/ information on the air condition oontrol panel was difficult to view and have to trouble the technician to come to help adjust the temperature in the room

Ideally located opposite arrivals hall at Johannesburg International Airport. Very comfortable room ( we were upgraded to a suite). The restaurant Quills is very good. The staff were helpful and friendly The room rates are a little on the expensive side

The hotel is adjacent to the airport which is very convenient for quick, overnight layovers. Upon arrival, we were upgraded to the junior suite which was great, especially after a long day of flying. Our dinner at the hotel restaurant was excellent and the staff provided exceptional service throughout our stay. Considering the price, I would rate the breakfast underwhelming but ok...

Absolutely nothing

Assistance from the lobby staff on arrival, when it rained and we needed wheelchair support. Check in the lobby. From there onwards, it was a cold shower with not getting any attention in the bar and the beds being uncomfortable and not what we booked. We requested 1 king and 1 twin room. The rooms given each had 2 single beds. The pillows and the duvets are too big and messy. The mattress is too soft, and the cover is too loose. That means that sleeping is a constant fight. The biggest complaint is the bar and restaurant staff in the evening. We come off the late KLM flight, several times a year, and the standard is that we get no service. We had to wait for 20 min to get a drink. Nobody sees you. They ignore us. Only when we left the restaurant without paying for the 3 wines, they tried to get hold of us the next day. That is how unattentive the staff is not seeing clients walk out. Honestly, this happened every time.
