Best Western The Oasis at Joplin

I recently stayed here for an extended stay while visiting family. I read the reviews before booking and read a lot of comments about how comfortable the beds were which was very important due to back and hip issues. I’ve stayed at a lot of places in the past while traveling and I’m not sure what beds they had here but the beds I got were at least 20 years old, sinking in the middle, by far the worst beds I’ve ever slept in. The room definitely needs to be updated and deep cleaned more often.Pool area was nice and clean. The staff was very friendly and breakfast was good. The lady that helps out for breakfast there was extremely helpful, and very friendly.

Staff was very friendly. The room was very clean. The swimming pool area was very nice.

The shower curtain was 8 inches too short in room 139 which let water flood the bathroom. Had to use many towels and bath mats to soak it up. It was a slippery safety hazard. But Jodi was extremely attentive to my needs which I greatly appreciated!

All was good except for the person who decided to mow the yard of the apartment that was right outside our door at 7:20 this morning. Reviews said it was quiet and for the most part it was. Our room was on the outside of the property and if my husband would not have been with me, I would have been slightly uncomfortable I that setting alone. This reminder me of a motel rather than a hotel. Would I stay there again, probably so.

The photos are architectural renderings. There are crackheads and hobos wandering the parking lot and surrounding area. It’s behind a waffle house if that tells you anything. Room Entry doors are outside like a crack motel.

I put in request for the room with 2 young kids when I booked the hotel. At check in, they put me in the room on 2nd floor and this hotel does not have Elevator. I asked if they can move me to the ground floor, the staff said she could not and told me Next Time I book, put in the request to stay on ground floor. Duh ?!

Breakfast was very good and a great selection. We had our ESA animal with us and the staff was wonderful accommodating us and him. They listened to our necessary location of our room. That’s a Big Plus for us. Will be staying there again.

Pleasant check-in /breakfast area, but be prepared for motel-style accommodations - not run-down but not new.

The property is attractive and well maintained. The rooms were clean and comfortable, but not what I consider well maintained. Breakfast offer was a good selection. It’s in convenient location.

It was basic, but provided a place to sleep. The building is older, which is fine…. But we also found the room to not be as clean as other Best Westerns we have stayed at. The door had a gap at the bottom so we had to put a towel down to prevent noise and bugs coming through. There were also ants in our room.
