View of Sakurajima was fantastic . The bath / shower area was the best ever and I want to redesign my own to be similar. Location was fantastic. The tv had a live feed for the washers & dryers…awesome!!! My tv came on automatically at 6:35 each morning and no one could figure out how to fix it. Not that I each a lot of tv when traveling but this set up was terrible so the iPad it was for diversion. Breakfast was really good but I’ve regularly had even better while in Japan.

. When we entered the room, we were immediately hit by a strong unpleasant smell. It was so noticeable that we had to leave the room right away to buy a room spray just to make it more bearable. In my opinion, the hotel should consider replacing the old carpets and carrying out a thorough deep cleaning as soon as possible. Unfortunately, the condition of the room was not acceptable and did not meet our expectations. We would have left the hotel, but our car was already parked in the elevator parking garage, and after a long day we were too tired to look for another place to stay.

Location is excellent, you can walk underground to the hotel. The view is excellent city view and the room is nice and clean. Bathroom is good in Japanese Hotel Standard. Very friendly staff and check in was easy. The best is the breakfast, very surprised, one of the best hotel breakfast I had. None

Located in a great neighbourhood with many amenities and shopping areas around. Room was comfortable, modern, and clean. We also appreciated having the additional facilities like water/ice dispensers and washing machines/dryers. Staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay there. The breakfast was also enjoyable (albeit the slightly higher cost). Rooms were a little smaller than expected; it can be challenging for 2 luggages to be opened up in the room due to the room size.

Beautiful hotel, compact rooms (as expected of a downtown Japanese hotel), but well laid out so we didn’t feel cramped.

Fantastic breakfast with nice local options. Restaurant has a nice view out over the station area. Get a Sakurajima view room if you can, it’s worth it! Nice room, comfortable beds. Very clean. We wanted to be near the station, so the location was great for us. However, it is a little far from the downtown area, so that may be a concern for some people.

The location was ideal, across from the JR station and next to AMU Plaza.

The location, cleanliness, and service from the staff were excellent and very polite. I wish there was an onsen too.

Excellent location in Kagoshima. Friendly and helpful staff. Overall, good maintenance and service. This is our third stay and we will stay again in the future. The breakfasts are boring and the same daily. Salad greens lack lettuce. They currently have coffee pots with regular, weak coffee. A coffee machine with various choices would enhance the experience. Rooms need touch up staining on frayed edges.

The location is in the center and bus terminal to Kagoshima airport is in the same building. Very convenient ☺️

Convenient location - it was at the Kagoshima chuo and connected to the JR station and the shopping center and underground restaurants through an underground walkway, making it very convenient to get around even when it’s raining. Hotel staff were very nice. The room was very small. There wasn’t really room to fully open a 28 inch suitcase. Keep in mind that the view of sakurajima is very dependent on the weather if you book a room facing sakurajima.

The basement floor of the building has a yatai village (which admittedly feels slightly like a tourist trap, but still worth checking out if you never experienced the atmosphere of a yatai restaurant), so food options are plentiful if you don't want to travel far. It's location is fantastic for any transportation option you need, including trains, trams, city buses, and even direct bus limousines to the nearby airport. The train station's shopping mall across the street (with underground passages accessible to get there) is a good place to easily pick up souvenirs, both for local options to store chains across the country. The volcano view is also great for the morning sunrise, which should be half the reason to get rooms here as the hotel itself starts from the 7th floor, so you'll be guaranteed a great view with no buildings in the way. The Lawson is basically right next door that you can reach without leaving the building (but off hotel premises). The entrance and lobby, especially in the morning when the sun is shining in, was uncomfortably a lot warmer than the early spring morning temperature; unsure if this holds true for the opposite season.
