Older facility, showing some wear. Clean spacious room. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. The location is pretty central in Kampala, but in a very busy area. I had reserved an apartment, but was given a regular room on check-in. I was told that there was not an apartment available. After two days, I was offered a move to an apartment, but chose to remain in the room. Included breakfast is mediocre, and seems not to be geared towards European or American travelers.

Breakfast should start around 6:30 AM, as many need to leave for meetings by 7:30 AM. The rooms are spacious and comfortable; the only issue is with the hot water. Food services need great improvement as it takes ages to be delivered.

The location is good but it's a loud place, no matter which part of the hotel you're in and especially when you're in the Speke Apartments. The misrepresentation of the Speke Apartments which aren't even part of the main hotel - poor quality, windows not closing, very outdated and far from the main hotel.
