All very good, as advertised
-
Excellent atmosphere and it was really fun staying there Rooms and showers are basic

Super great location and cool vibes I literally cannot complain at all because everything was great, it was just noisy for a little while in the evening but one could expect that being a hostel. I was staying with my husband and 4 month old baby, but it actually wasn’t an issue.

The environment is exceptional, offering a truly top-notch experience. The staffs are equally impressive… warm, attentive, and always quick to respond to any queries. If you’re a light sleeper, you might find it a bit challenging to sleep due to noise from nearby clubs ?

I stayed at Bushpig Backpackers in Kampala and overall had a really good experience. The place was very clean and the breakfast was great. The staff were always friendly, welcoming, and helpful whenever I needed something. One thing I also really appreciated was that the prices were very reasonable. The food they offer, the laundry service, and other extras were all fairly priced and not exaggerated, which makes it easy to stay there for a few days without constantly worrying about costs. Another positive aspect is that they organize events regularly, which adds some variety and makes the place feel lively. At the same time, this was also the one thing that felt a little confusing. Sometimes it felt like the events were more designed for people coming from outside rather than for the hostel guests themselves. As a guest, you sometimes feel a bit like you’re just sleeping at a venue where events happen, instead of feeling like part of a hostel community. In many hostels there is a stronger focus on building a social atmosphere specifically for the people staying there, and that was something I felt was missing a bit. I also noticed that other guests seemed to feel the same way.

No complaints

Breakfast was lovely. And you could boil water anytime to make your own tea. Very hot water in shower, which is special in Africa!! And I was invited to share a special mid-day meal to celebrate December 25th. Thanks!!

friendly staff, fast service overall good experience.

The rooms and accommodations were basic and a little small but for the money I think it was still fair. There could have been slight improvements to the breakfast to make it cheaper and more inclusive with the stay.

Excellent breakfast!!! No complaints. What can i say? There is nothing i didnt like (except that the first time i came here, the wifi was very iffy, only worked near the reception area. That was ten days ago. I am back at Bushpig and the wifi is great. Such is the way in Africa.) Bushpig is a backpackers hostel, not a fancy hotel. You arent going to get a Four Seasons room- and nor wre you going to pay anywhere near Four Seasons’ prices. What you WILL get is a colorful, fun environment, great atmosphere, people who seem to genuinely like working here and who seem genuinely happy to see and help you. You can tuck yourself away in your room or sit in any of the communal seating areas. I havent had dinner here yet but the menu looks good and the prices are very good too. Given what it is, i think Bushpig is a gem of a place to stay, way more interesting and homey than a hotel. I cannot recommend Bushpig highly enough.

Great place to stay in Kampala-highly recommended Internet could be better in rooms, but when needed works great close to reception
-
Nice place downtown Kampala. Easy access to the Coty, businesses and restaurants.

The location was perfect. It’s in a busy area of the city but it’s fairly quiet. The staff are very hospitable and friendly

I loved the vibes and the food. The staff were very welcoming, patient and friendly.

The staff is supernice, I loved to have a chat with everyone working there. Amazing location, tasty breakfast, welcoming atmosphere, lively events evening times and the cutest cat you’ll ever meet (and I’m not even a cat person).
