This was the perfect place for my stay in Kanchanaburi! But it might not be for everyone. If you’re a solo traveler looking to socialize, I wouldn’t recommend. I only met one other person in my dorm in the four days I was there. Most of the time I was alone. I went in July so it’s not high season, maybe it’s different in January. Secondly, the location is not that close to the main tourist walking street if those kinds of shops and restaurants are important to you. It’s about a 20 minute walk minimum or 45 minute walk all the way to the River Kwai Bridge. Things that are located close are the death railway museum and cemetery (10-15 min walk), one of the main night markets (JJ night market, 15 min walk), train and bus station (15 min walk in opposite directions), and skywalk (15-20 min walk). It’s also close to the Saturday night market. So overall it’s pretty central, just not where all the resorts and tourist oriented places are located. If you want to rent motorbikes, the staff guide you to a really great rental place and even provide transportation to get there since it’s a long walk. They have all the information at the front desk. Usually the hotel offers bicycle rental, but unfortunately they were under repair when I visited. The WiFi worked great as did the air conditioning. The only thing I recommend for improvement is the card system for electricity in the dorm rooms. To have electricity, you need to put a key card in the slot by the door (there’s only one slot). This works for regular private rooms, but not very well for a shared dorm. When there’s more than one person in the dorm room, it makes it a bit awkward and requires coordination to keep continuous electricity if someone leaves and takes their card (since you need it to enter the room as well).

Bar with live music in front of the hotel. No double glass windows. Loud music until early morning. Great if you want to join in. Not great if you are with kids or want to have a good night sleep...

I always stay here when I visit Kanchanaburi. It’s a modern hostel with great breakfast ? regarding the noise I came prepared with ear plugs just in case cafe reading reviews, but I didn’t need them. The noise is very faint and barely bothers anyone!

The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was clean and with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The room was clean. I didn't have breakfast there, so cannot comment on that.

Clean and comfy, cosy and modern. Not a sociable hostel but very good for a decent nights sleep. Not far from the train station and on the main road but quiet The drains in the shower room/toilet smelled quite bad. Tolerable but not nice. Also the socket for my top bunk bed was really far away from the bed on the wall so couldn’t charge my phone. Other than this very good though,

The communal space was lovely, with areas for relaxing and also sitting/working. The staff were very helpful and accommodating and friendly. The dorm rooms were small, there wasn't really anywhere to put your stuff. The lockers were only really big enough for valuables, they weren't wide enough for a backpack. Also the lighting in the whole place was quite subdued, so it made it feel shabbily than it was, even though it was clean. They also only did mixed gender dorms, which I don't like. To be fair, hostel standards in Thailand have been really high, so maybe my review is influenced by that.

Nice staff, nice place. Room is a bit crowded, but had a cool vibe in the whole hostel. Booked a room for the two of us so we had a bathroom for ourselves, but peaked in the shared bathroom and it looked very clean.

Very modern, quirky railway theme. Spotlessly clean, friendly staff. Bit far from the main town area. Not enough breakfast veggie options, really hard bed

The staff were amazing, all of them. Couldn’t help us enough. They even hailed down the bus for Erawan falls which stopped right outside the hotel. We chose the sandwiche breakfast( paid extra ) to take as a packed lunch, all ready when we came down for breakfast. Location central to train and bus stations. Had a lovely supper at the market 10in walk towards the bus station

It is vey modern and comfortable The noise outside. At 4:20am (!!!!!!) some people started to cut metal and do some construction work. It happens twice during our stay. At the small roof above our room there is a pigeons nest that started making noise just after people stopped cutting metal at 5:30

Close to bus station with buses to Erawan. Very loud and not attractive surrounding, need of extra payment for breakfast coffee, deposit for the room card.
