TAUERN SPA Zell am See - Kaprun

The hotel has a good location. The swimming areas are fantastic. However, the rooms are poor considering the price— they are below average, and the housekeeping service is extremely poor.

The hotel is very big and it was difficult to figure out how to go from one place to another and back to my room.

Amazing location and hotel

Location and view Renovation works were effecting our comfort stay in 1st floor with very annoying passages to/from SPA

on a good note the views are unbeatable. The sunset and sunrise are like heaven on Earth. Great location. Close to everything. Reception staff are super sweet and friendly. We are mainly here for the hotel and not the spa experience hence we got the short end of the stick when it comes to patience of the employees. Room is missing trash can in the bathroom I was told to move the one in the living room to the bathroom )! Crazy. No coffee cups. No slippers and hesitant employees to give when asked! It is a spa after all why robes with no slippers should i walk barefoot?? Advertised as has coffee machine yet doesn't, would give you a kettle when you ask. Bathroom amenities are all there except toothbrush and also hesitant to give 2 for 2 people??? Room has no a/c and no ventilation hence gets hot fast and feels like there is no breathing room. Asked for 2 fans and got them so thanks for that. Call reception to get something they wont help you contact the department themselves, they ask you to do it even if the room service does not answer the call. Bathrooms smell really bad!! Space is packed and fully booked I bet if i had come here for the spa experience I would have other things to say. Sadly i don't. There is also a tax charge that booking does not charge per day per person roughly 2.5 euros.

The location and the facility itself. The spa was full of people and the pool area, the hotel should only allow hotel guests in the spa and pool, because I think and I am not sure people from outside can pay because I can see that not too many people was staying in the hotel but the pool area was full of people and only they can enter these facilities and leave but this can make it crowded and the hotel guests will not feel comfortable to have a lot of guests from outside in the pool, other than that everything was perfect.

The friendly and kind approach of the staff, the quality and wide variety of food, the spa facilities entertaining both children and adults, the room design and size were all excellent. The fully transparent glass door of the bathroom is inconvenient.

The resort itself is absolutely gorgeous and the hotel spa is amazing. Room service is limited. Requested maintenance for tv and hand wash refill but did not receive service. Also when I requested ice they informed me that I’ll be charged 5 euros.

The breakfast

The hotel is beautiful, with nice facilities, tasty food, and very polite staff. They listened to our request and kindly changed our room to one with a balcony. Housekeeping was very poor: the first room had a broken window and no spa towels or bathrobes, the second room was not clean, and the bins were not emptied throughout our stay. The shower had no conditioner, some plates and glasses in the dining room were dirty, and even basic drinks like water were not included in the half-board. We were also charged €2.5 for a jug of tap water, which was not listed on the menu while alcohol prices were clearly displayed.

The place was super clean, comfy, and in a perfect location. The spa was really nice, and the food had everything we needed. We’d definitely recommend it to families looking for a quiet and cozy spot to relax.

System of booking / assigning tables at restaurant + communication between reception and rest. staff seemed off. Dog package was not satisfactory (but reception noted it as feedback); late check-out query was first accepted, then rejected.

Be careful when staying here! I had half board included, yet they still tried to charge me extra at checkout for a simple lemonade that was offered with my meal. The hotel is also located in the middle of nowhere, which makes it very inconvenient. Not a place I would recommend.

Cleanliness of the hotel, friendly staff, very quiet and spacious SPA area and the food was amazing! Breakfast and dinner was a 10/10!

Great hotel to have a relaxing spa weekend. There are multiple facilities, for families and couples only. The hotels location is ideal for outdoor sports like hiking and cycling. The half board definitely worth it with a great variety for dinner changing every night. The room was a bit too warm but we slept with the open balcony door which solved this problem.

If you like relaxation and SPA - this is the right place. In the middle of the breathtaking mountains and after driving the Grossglockner High Alpine Road this is the perfect spot for us. Our room was wonderful (Nature Plus Room with balcony and mountain view) and the bed was very comfy - sometimes I have problems with sleeping in a hotel - not here. The Spa is great, many different pools and spots, breakfast and dinner was spectacular with an extra themed buffet in addition to the served dinner. They have a great ground floor garage where we could park our low Corvettes without any problems and the bus stop in front of the hotel is very convenient if you plan to go to Zell am See or to the Kitzsteinhorn and don't want to drive with your car. Everything was perfect as always. It was our third visit here and we will come again and again and again. Nothing

The staff barely know English and it was very hard comunicating

The staff was super nice and helpful. We were welcomed very warmly, got informed about everything. The rooms are ready from 15 p.m., but we've received a private locker to change and be able to use the swimming area. We could leave our car in the garage and from there we could reach the hotel directly. The swimming area was super cool and relaxing. We had a nice room with balcony, and the best thing was, for the hotel guests there is a private Skylinepool and Spa available that is adults only, and it's amazing. The breakfast buffet is very rich, various fresh foods are included. The bed was quite hard. The chairs in the room and on the balcony were quite old, they could be changed.
