It's my second time to book at Beyond Kata, and again I had a fantastic stay. I decided to spend my birthday at this hotel and thanks to the management for the lovely birthday cake. The room is spacious with lovely seaview. The pool is right in front of the beach. Once you get tired of swimming at the beach, you can easily walk back to the pool and relax. Breakfast has lots of varieties. So many restaurants nearby. Staff are nice and friendly. Special mention to "Deer", our room cleaner who took good care of us all the time with everything we need like towels, water, etc... What more can I ask for? I would like to go back again.

We stayed at this hotel 10 years ago under the previous ownership. Beyond has refreshed the hotel and brightened it up, but much of it is still the same - immediate hotel grounds are well maintained, all things considered. Facilities are crowded, hotel food is very overpriced especially when the restaurant directly across the road has a much better menu, amazing portions, and a wide food variety for nearly 1/5th the price. There is also a night market 3 minutes walk from the hotel that has an amazing selection with high hygiene standards. When we stayed 10 years ago, we ate at the hotel buffet almost exclusively, this time...we didn't touch it once, it was not worth the asking price and seemed many guests had the same feeling. The buffet outside of the complimentary breakfast was always extremely empty with a maximum of 5 tables being occupied in the whole restaurant at any given time, if any. The beach in front of the hotel (and all hotels in the area) have been heavily occupied by independent vendors (beach chairs, drink stalls) leaving little to no areas to relax or walk and a lot of litter. The views from our junior suite were great, and our room attendant was lovely. Unfortunately the A/C on our entire floor was having issues for the most of our stay. Not ideal when it's humid and hot outside, we had to keep our curtains closed almost 24/7 which negated the whole point of the ocean view, otherwise the room would be a sauna.

Rude tourists , antisemitism among tourists
-
Location, pool and pool bar, and breakfast buffet. - Ants in room. -No smoking in pool bar. - Rooms and bathroom are slightly dated.
-
the location right on the beach and a private pool was awesome
-
Hotel price is a bit pricey
-
The pool area and the breakfast variety and the view to Kata beach. They allow the kids to participate in the pool activities and other activities related to the hotel which add good experience. The breakfast didn’t have Halal options for Muslims. The room was small compared to other rooms .

Best hotel in Kata Some rooms, the cheapest ones, must be avoided. Careful which one you book.

Beachfront with view of the sea from swimming pool. Kata is the best beach in the area Race to get pool chairs always full ..

Excellent location and service! Furniture a bit outdated
-
Nice view
-
Location Only & Beach Team friendliness, lack of service, no proper policy to control the fake booked sunbeds , and smoking policy!
-
Room smelled moldy, damp it was really bad. Had to keep door open. I tried to change rooms but they all had the same smell. Hotel needs updating not worth the money in my opinion. Breakfast was subpar.

During dinner time the restaurant was pretty empty. We are the only ones a pizza and it was burnt and clearly pre-frozen. Most people as we learnt order from nearby restaurants which worked great

The location is the only thing going for this place. The bed was rock hard, the food wasn’t good, the drinks were overly sugary, and the staff wasn’t helpful.

Great resort fantastic location great pool Staff friendly but not very attentive

• Excellent location • Great beach access • Good service • Hotel feels dated • Breakfast has many choices but poor quality and often served cold • Overall potential is high, but management doesn’t seem to be paying attention to key details
