Very clean, nice and tidy. I think the property is mainly constructed by woods so be sure to lower the volume entering the night.

The staff was top notch and the place it self was so nice. The bar was epic the servers really know there stuff and they had a great collection of sake and liquor ? One thing and one thing only. Could use a extra place to hang your towels but no biggie really

I loved their attention to detail - you could tell that every piece of furniture down to each amenity product was chosen with care and intention. I especially loved the complimentary drinks and house-made caneles! Breakfast was absolutely phenomenal.

A beautiful European style hotel. Has more modern interior designs than I expected. Also cozier than what I’m expecting. The room is spacious and clean. There’s also a quite private & romantic bar just behind the lobby, but seems they only opens on the weekend. A warm and intimate hidden gem to enjoy some drinks in the cold nights. The staffs are very nice and very responsive. The receptionist is only available from 7.30 - 21.00, but they gave us the emergency contact, in case there’s something urgent we need to do and need to be assisted. I can tell that the staffs are wholeheartedly want to give their best for their customer. I might be going over the board, but kudos to all of the staff! 4 thousand thumbs up! Quite close to the Shindo bus station. The only thing that could be considered as a minus for this hotel is the location. Quite far from any convenience store, about 15 mins walking. It’s close to the bus station, but perhaps since Karuizawa is a quite remote place and most people there owns car, the public transport was not that reliable and often delayed. So expect to walk quite often. On the other hand, it’s actually in the middle of every tourist-centered locations, which are the Karuizawa station, Kumoba Pond, and the Old Ginza street.

The hotel was a pleasant 10 minute walk from the Karuizawa Shinkansen Station. The hotel was just renovated less than a month ago and the entire property was beautifully put together. The staff were incredible, the hotel manager was seemed to be running the whole place himself, overseeing the room preparations, handling our check-in, serving us as the bartender at the hotel bar in the evening all with expert grace and consideration. We had no idea when we booked the hotel but we were provided a wonderful seasonal welcome drink upon arrival(I believe it was a lemonade/earl-grey spritzer), complimentary drinks in our refrigerator(100%peach juice, 100% apple juice, and a hard apple cider), and a complimentary sake tasting at the bar for each us. The rooms were beautifully put together looking out over a beautiful Japanese garden and pond. You could truly appreciate the incredible attention to detail that has been put into every part of the rooms and experience by the hotel owners and staff. Truly the only negative aspect we had of an otherwise exceptional stay was the inability to have a curtain or some kind of screen to close the skylight in our room. The skylight illuminates the room beautifully in the daytime and we love to have it but unfortunately, being unable to close it in the evening meant that our room was again beautifully illuminated by the same skylight from very early in the morning when we would like to be able to sleep in a little (8am for us). I personally didn't have issues sleeping but my partner is much more sensitive to daylight in the bedroom and was unfortunately awakened by the light since before 6am.
