I really liked the hotel. It is rustic and beautiful, and it was very well maintained and clean. The staff were very attentive and kind throughout our stay. They made us feel welcome and were always polite and helpful. I liked everything. It exceeded my expectations.

Location amd the staff are very nice We stayed at the South building. It is obviously a wedding hall, so as a hotel it is a bit odd and not comfortable

A bit of a walk from the station. 15 mins carrying luggage in the snow is not the easiest. Facilities is dated.

Was charged for another 7500 yen outside booking even though booking already includes taxes & other fees.

We stayed for a night on our way to Toyama. Staff was awesome, buffet breakfast was good. Good location. Rooms could be brighter.

Staff are nice. Location is good. Room is big. The refrigerator is quite old and have a noise when you sleep.

Staff is also friendly. However, Room carpet is very old and looks dirty. Hence, in rooms feelings is not good.

Very good buffet breakfast with Japanese/Western cuisine. Staff were very attentive, even coming to tables to serve coffee, unlike self-serve at other hotels. One of the beds had a bad, uncomfortable mattress. Luckily, we had a quadruple bed room. I was able to use another bed with no flaws.

Breakfast was fantastic, the staff were also all fantastic, friendly and demonstrated the otomenashi you expect at a location like this. The location is great, a short walk from the main shopping areas and restaurants of Karuizawa. Free parking, location looks great on the outside. The building is very old, and lots of dated and rundown aspects. The rats net of wiring and outlets behind the nightstand. In the pictures I attached, the cords you see are where you are supposed to plug in your devices on your nightstand, which was both confusing and slightly concerning. The AC barely worked, the room never got below about 23.5*C the mattresses felt cheap with noticeable springs and left us with back pain. The water pressure in the shower was almost painfully high and the temperature was inconsistent, fine one moment and almost scalding hot the next if you even looked at the knobs funny.
