Hotel Marroad Kariuzawa was very comfortable and tranquil. The hospitality was as usual for a Japanese hotel: outstanding. Japanese breakfast was excellent. The location was also said excellent. A short walk to the train station and to the busy/touristy streets. It was nice to be a little ways from the bussle! I really enjoyed my stay There is no laundry service. So plan accordingly.

Overcharging me by Marroad hotel Karuizawa Dear Sir / Madam, My room is 201on the night of 27 march 2023 in Marroad hotel Karuizawa. I request to refund my money back. I booked a 2 singlebeds with breakfast for 1person, but 2 person on that night. The extra charge is 9900 yen. It's overcharging me. I told your staff but they disregarded my concern. Here is my grounds, One 2 beds room, 1 person with breakfast. The standard rate in your website is 18700 yen. (PAID IN BOOKING. COM) One 2 beds room, 2 persons with breakfast. The standard rate in your website is 22,000yen. The difference for extra one person is 3300 yen. Your staff is inexperienced and refuse to listen to guests. Staff can't understand English. Seniors are not take responsibility. I'll sure will make complain to relevant council and organizations for your overcharging guests. I have no time to complain onsite but will continue to do so. A quick jaunt from the train station, this hotel is within easy walking distance to the old machi town. The hotel provides a free shuttle service from the station, which was helpful as we had quite a bit of luggage. We arrived early and our luggage was portered to our room. Post checkout, the hotel stored our luggage until we were ready to leave Karuizawa. The room lacked power outlets for guests and we had to unplug lights in order to charge up our devices. We could not dial out using the room telephone.

It's a very quiet area and the staff are very helpful! The location is not near the train station but there is shuttle service from 9 to 6pm, you might want to give a call to the hotel to help you get one We enjoyed our stay here as it was comfortable and quiet. It was during the winter with snow so you will get a nice view by your window!

The location of the hotel was very convenient and the shuttle bus service to/from the Karuizawa station was very handy. Breakfast spread was good and nutritious. Cleanliness in the hotel was excellent. Tennis court was not available as advertised. I brought tennis rackets and shoes hoping to enjoy the game in the excellent weather but wasted carrying all the gear in my luggage. Disappointing.
