Hotel Golden Lotus - All Inclusive

Recently me and my wife, we spent 5 nights at Golden Lotus. First of all, the location is excellent, the hotel is next to sea side, there is only a narrow pedestrian way between hotel and the sea. Hotel has a private beach granted with blue flag, there is even a pier only for hotel guests. Secondly, the stuff is very effective and friendly, special thanks to Mr. Talat the front office manager and his team. Check in and out was very fast also beach team, Veli and his college both are everywhere providing very effective service to beach guests. Housekeeping is very quick, everyday by noon time the room was ready. I even met the owner (Ms. Gonca) and the General Manager (Mr. Armagan), both are very hands on and polite personalities. Thirdly, the hotel is at ‘’all inclusive’’base, food and drinks both alcohol and nonalcoholic are included in the price, the quality and variety both food and drinks are superb. There is not any special thing to mention as dislike.

Perfect location at the beach and near the shopping streets. Facilities were very clean, towels changed daily even when we did not signal that we wish to have them changed. Amazing stuff, made us feel so welcome, very kind and helpful. Nice peer with not too crowded sun beds in the shaddow, for small additional price. Beach amazing for swimming, with easy access to water. I definitely recommended massage, both my sister and I were very satisfied, therapists were very professional and gave us excellent massages. The facilities need some updating. Balcony was very small, AC very loud, shower faucet broken. Bathtub not convenient for getting in and out. Food was tasteful but not as many options as I expected, barely any fish or sea food was served. Only 1 elevator for guests so we sometimes had to wait long. Sun beds on the beach were very close to each other, no space between them or between the rows of sun beds.

The staff at reception were very kind and helpful. Even if some of them did not speak English they always strived to help us out whatever our problem. Most of the restaurant staff worked really hard and were very attentive - while unfortunately some were behaved so disgustingly it marred our perception significantly. Although the rooms were a bit outdated, the beds were really comfortable, and the views were great as well! The location of the hotel was very nice, the rooms that overlook the sea (and also the pier) offer a nice view of sunrise - worth waking up early! The hotel is right at the beach, so you can easily stroll down for a dip in the warm and clear water. It has it's own pier (most in the area don't have this) which is well shaded and has plenty of space for lounging (beds are extra charge there though) - while the pier itself also goes well into the sea enough that you can jump right into the deep water. Both from some of the rooms and from the pier as well, you also have a breathtaking view of the lovely mountains surrounding Kemer. You are also close to the city center itself, so you can easily walk around and explore. Most hotels in the area usually do some sort of show or performance in the evening, such as belly dancers or musicians singing. I find that these events are usually really loud and annoying after a while. Golden Lotus did not organize such events too often fortunately, so it was a good change of tone to just sit back and have some drinks by the pool after dinner. Kemer itself was a huge dissapointment overall. In most shops there are dishonest people trying to screw you over, selling you overpriced trash. Loud music everywhere, distasteful bright colored lights, no sign of actual genuine Turkish culture, just a mishmash of low quality hyper "entertainment". Even within the hotel the constant harassment for tips was really tyring after a while. It's understandable that this is part of the culture, but some of the waiters' behavior was just plain disgusting. In the bar we were refused drinks at first by one of the waiters doing their shift saying: "we paid for the hotel, we did not pay him, we can go drink water" - yeah, all inclusive huh?... He did start joking around afterward and served us, but it wasn't really funny honestly. One of the spa personel was acting smug for the first few days just because we did not immediately sign up for massages and dared to simply ask for towels for which we paid the deposit already. I am not really sure how they are expecting me to give every staff member money every day just so they start behaving like the way they are paid to by their employees. If that salary is not enough for them then they should take that to their boss and not to me. Moreover some of the waiters were constantly flirting and hitting on women members of our group despite clearly seeing they were taken already. This again we found very unprofessional behavior. The hotel should educate their employees that both this sort behavior and the hounding for tips is probably not really suitable for the quality they wish to embody. These experiences significantly spoiled the trip for us. The rooms were kind of outdated, with some broken equipment and doors. Overall the hotel felt a bit dated in regards to facilities, to truly be a 4 star hotel they would definitely need to renovate it. The food was unfortunately mostly bland. But that did vary by each day, sometimes there were some good choices!

The rooms at the hotel were spotlessly clean and well-maintained. Considering the quality of the rooms and the facilities available, the pricing was very reasonable, offering great value for money. The hotel’s food was delicious, and I particularly enjoyed the offerings at the bar. The location of the hotel, situated in Kemer Harbor, allowed for enjoyable evening strolls and easy access to nearby outlets and attractions. During my stay, I treated myself to a massage by Alica, which was absolutely fantastic and highly recommended. Additionally, Emin was very helpful in assisting me with the best offers and packages available, ensuring I had everything I needed for a pleasant stay. Overall, I had a wonderful time at the Golden Lotus Hotel and would gladly return. The combination of excellent service, cleanliness, good food, and convenient location made my visit truly delightful.

Room is Small

I loved the food, the view from my room, the very nice staff (special thanks to Hasan for his kindness) and the sauna. Dinner finished a bit too early once. I was told it was until 9pm but in fact it stopped at 8:30pm. But that's alright, staff was very nice and gave me a desert from the kitchen.

It is a nice, solid property, well maintained and adequate to what it claims: four stars out of five. Staff members are very friendly, deliver excellent service. The hotel eliminated such an issue like tips extortion, which is typical, for example, for Western Hemisphere. It is located very close to the beach - really 10 steps from the property line. I personally found the food to be repetitive and blunt. Obviously, pork was not available due to religious limitations. But beef and lam were not present (with almost not noticeable exemptions for ground beef) I suppose because of the cost considerations. It limited the menu to chicken and turkey, both often grossly overcooked. I would describe the beach as a poor one. It is very small, narrow, covered by pebble stone. Even in the end of the season it is felt as crowded. I must admit though that many other guests liked what I disliked as per above. I might be spoiled by holiday facilities in Mexico and the Caribbean.

location was ok, it had a nice (pebble) beach. The water is quite clear, so bring your snorkel. dinners in the evening always had a special, so that was nice. there was a little snack hour -, but that was no reason to stick around. the ac in our room didnt work so we upgraded to the 4th floor were all ac s had a separate unit. much better. all the rooms have a little balcony and a handy drying rack. the taxi to the airport is 70 euros.

Excellent staff, hotel is very clean, very close to a beach, good location to local amenities, no noise from animation. Wi-Fi can sometimes be slow, although still way better, than in many other places.

A lovely, quiet, cosy hotel in the centre of Kemer. Ideal for those who want a quiet holiday. Ideal room, delicious food, extremely helpful staff, clean, comfortable, close to all attractions. My biggest thanks to the service guys, they work hard but are always pleasant, with a smile, helpful. They must be very appreciated. Dear guests, spare them a tip! Very nice receptionists, especially Hasan. The beach is small, but it has a comfortable entrance to the sea, there are enough sunbeds, it is very comfortable to spend time on the pier, although it is charged extra. A very good holiday, would love to come back next year. I didn't like the fact that the holiday passed too quickly and it was very sad to leave :( I have no complaints with the hotel, only praise :)

Good value for money when it comes to all-inclusive option. Local alcohol included in the price. Food was very good! View from the private beach is espectacular!
