Gold Zanzibar Beach House & Spa

Gold Zanzibar is an absolutely spectacular property. Everything was exceptional. The staff went above and beyond to make sure that all our needs were met. A special shoutout goes to the following amazing people; Morris and Shaaban at the activities desk, Cecilia, Neema, and Happiness in the restaurants, and Ali, Abdi, and the young man from Shrilanka at the front desk. I don’t remember the name of our gardener, but what an extraordinary individual! Overall, the entire staff were bright stars. The food is absolutely wonderful, and there is a huge variety for every meal. The rooms are kept spotlessly clean. The security at the team were not only extremely efficient, but so kind and helpful. We will definitely return and highly recommend!!!! The fact that we had to leave ?

Very well kept property with an excellent beach and pool. The rooms were also great and the staff is amazing. Loved the buffet dinners which had a lot of fresh options and great seafood Nothing!

Good property , nice and clean . But if your room faces the road , you will hear everything from the outside. Food selection should be more various. Staff should be more friendly ( Shout out To the Peter the great , was the only one that made us feel comfortable) For a 5 star hotel I would expect more in terms of facilites and confort.

Marvelous It’s the best hotel I visited so far, words are not enough to explain the whole positive experience we had Hotel and stuff are simply perfect doing more than expected to make you feel like real queen ,from early accommodation at 05a.m.to huge clean rooms with everything inside Food is excellent and they are offering various dishes,both fish,meat,pasta,pizza,fresh salad and fruit,a huge desert options The spa experience is also perfect with real professionals working inside The pool is quite big and very clean with a lot of sun beds around The beach is white sand with azure water,very clean and nice It is a perfect place for honeymoon as well as couples with children I will definitely visit this hotel again Strongly recommended for anybody planning a trip to Zanzibar

Exceptional location and fantastic staff!

Nice beach, exceptional service, beautiful room

The grounds are beautifully maintained, the room is spacious with a large balcony. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The Gold restaurant is exceptional and we enjoyed many meals and drinks here! Special mention to Chef Warren and the lovely wait staff who always made us feel welcome. Try the catch of the day if you visit - delicious! Would like to mention the lovely Nicole (customer relationship manager) she is an absolute gem and ensured any issues were resolved quickly and we left feeling we had the 5 star experience we were hoping for. We were lucky enough to experience the lobster dinner on the beach front which was wonderful! The spa is exceptional! Highly recommended spending some time here during your stay. Please please check the dates of the full moon party at the neighbouring hotel, as we had assumed it would be on the full moon, it was in fact on a date without a full moon and the noise is crazy loud until 4am. Unless you are a fan of buffet book the full board package to enjoy the meals at the Gold restaurant. Be aware that there is not much outside of the resort but you do have everything you need at the resort.

The service at this hotel is the best I have experienced. Khadija and Salim took great (and warm) care of us, following up on everything related to us and our stay. Nicole took care of any concerns with sincerity. Front desk Ali and the others, all so welcoming, helpful and friendly. Others, like Tunu, Abu Bakr, Washa and so many others that unfortunately would be impossible to mention all their names, made us feel happy, special and made our experience extremely enjoyable. Special mention to the impressive daily atmosphere and food of Kilimanjaro restaurant. Lovely hotel, on a beautiful beach.

The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming and lovely with the kids. We loved the kids club, though small and fully outdoors, it offered nice activities for the kids including evening movie nights. The food selection was great. The beach is by far the most beautiful of Zanzibar, with stunning blue, deep, waters, and no sea urchins. The rooms were pretty and well appointed. The beach chairs are very far from the ocean. The hotel provides plastic water bottles, and really needs to start using glass bottles or provide reusable water bottles (like metal ones) to the room with water filling stations throughout the hotel, to be more eco-friendly.

This place is like a paradise. The service attitude and the team spirit of the hotel staff is extraordinary. They read our wishes from our lips. We travel a lot. But this was by far the best 5-Star-Hotel we ever visited. The rooms, the beach, the food, the facilities, the music in the evening: All is very high standard and exclusive.

Disappointment was front desk staff at checkout. Staff took cash at desk then at property exit gate stated cash too old would not accept. I had to trust that this was the same money I gave them. Money that I got from my US bank.
