Location was perfect! Could walk to all the shops and most restaurants!! We were in the other building and it’s not as nice. Needs new carpet in hallways and fix squeaky stairs. Too expensive for dingy building and room. Disappointed

The location is amazing. Right in the town, beautiful scenery on the dock. There is an annexed building on another street. I don’t think that is clear on the website and there is no staff and 2 flights of narrow step stairs to climb. The decor feels cheap and an up market dormitory. The breakfast was DYI, paper cutlery, plates and cups. Cereal, yogurt and limited seating in the bar area. Someone else wrote, it's a restaurant with some rooms, not the other way around.

We booked a room at The Boathouse at the last minute, and we are happy with our choice, close to everything, but the room was nice and quiet. It was spacious, clean and well-appointed. We enjoyed our dinner in the restaurant and the breakfast that was included with our room was delightful. I would highly recommend this hotel!

One of our favorite suites yet and we travel a lot! We could not get enough of the balcony harbor view, magical!

The location is fantastic—you're right in the heart of Kennebunkport and can easily walk to everything, which is definitely the biggest selling point. However, the Wharf House itself was a huge disappointment, especially for the price. Our room was on the third floor with no elevator and felt more like an attic space, with very small windows and little natural light. The hallways felt dated and worn, and while the room itself appeared to have been renovated, it had more of a basic flip-style feel than a boutique hotel experience. The finishes felt inexpensive, and it lacked the charm and quality we were expecting. We could also hear conversations and noise through the walls very clearly. The biggest surprise was how different the Wharf House is from the beautiful, brand-new main building shown in many of the photos. Had I realized there was such a significant difference between the two, I would have booked differently. My advice to future guests is to pay close attention to whether you're reserving a room in the main building or the Wharf House. If you're considering the Wharf House primarily for the location, know that there are several hotels and inns within a five-minute walk that may offer a better value. The location is wonderful, but I don't feel the Wharf House delivered an experience that matched its premium price.

Beautiful views and central to everything.

We really enjoyed the ability to use beach chairs, towels and bikes at the surrounding hotels. The Annex where we stayed frequently had a bad smell and the noises of other guests were extremely present.

Very nice boutique hotel. Location is a just short walk from downtown Kennebunkport shops and restaurants. Lunch at the Boathouse restaurant was great. We would stay there again, and will recommend to our friends.

We didn’t like because we arrived late. Our flight got delayed; we couldn’t get in to our room. Had to call an emergency number for someone to tell us where our room key was going to be.

Great Location Coffee and breakfast were supposed to b out at 10 and in 2 days this never happened. Not even close! Room was small but nice. My wife found the AC very loud and strong air blowing right on her while sleeping

The food was excellent at the restaurant!

Location on the water was lovely Due to the nature of being an old building, the floors/stairs were quite creaky and noises easily transferred.

The staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating— especially when it came to navigating parking in the busy lot! Only one small comment: the air conditioner in room 3 sounds like a jet engine, but it did keep the room nice and cold!!
