The location is v good The lounge was good and relaxing We have been a lot to this hotel and always enjoyed it BUT we were given Room 118 which was probably the smallest room we've ever stayed in We only had one bedside table My husband had to put his phone and other stuff on window sill which was rotten on inside which made it look dirty We were not happy with it and it did spoil our stay to some degree We shall think again about rebooking which is a shame because we'vehad lots of nice breaks there

Parking at the hotel was a bonus in this busy town. Bedroom was huge with a great view. Garden was perfect for enjoying a pre-dinner G&T.

Lovely old hotel ideally situated close to the centre of Keswick with ample parking. The grounds are extensive and well maintained with a lovely outdoor area to relax with a drink. Breakfasts and dinners were very good and nicely presented. Room was a bit tired, although it is an old building. Bathroom had been updated and the lift was a real bonus. Nothing springs to mind.

Probably the most historical hotel in Keswick built for the railway in 1869. Its had its share of famous visitors including Queen Elizabeth. Would definitely stay here again. Couldnt fault anything. Overall excellent. Everything and everyone.

Lovely old world charm but with modern bedrooms and en suite. Great location only a 5 minute walk to the centre yet it was set in a peaceful location. Public areas needed a bit more sparkle. It’s an old railway hotel but I felt the decor was a bit too neutral. It just needed a richer more striking interior to match the exterior and beautiful entrance door.

History, style, elegance, throwback to a bygone age, great parking, very pleasant outdoor grounds with seating areas and pathways, could be in the middle of the Lake District yet easy walk to bustle of Keswick town centre, wonderful railway walk with direct access to d station platform. Staff were nothing short of first class, especially reception staff, cannot wait to return Bar prices a little steep, and bar menu a little limited, an improvement in both would stop residents heading to Keswick town centre.

Hotel is in a great location within easy walking distance of the town centre. The staff are Incredibly friendly and helpful and the breakfast was very good with reasonable selection. Great well maintained grounds Public areas were a bit tired and in need of a revamp and the room could have done with a fan as it was very hot

Traditional hotel, feels like a treat. Comfortable bedroom and lounge areas. Dining room overlooks the garden. Good breakfast. Everything was great and just as we expected

Need grab handles in bath for shower . Toilet lids should close themselves.
