We have stayed here twice and experienced the same problem both times. The bar area was very untidy and unclean (as though there were not enough staff). We were allocated a downstairs room and yes they have been nicely upgraded but it was very noisy with floor boards above creaking, Well aware that we are paying for location but feel accommodation overpriced.

The hotel told me late on the previous day that my booking was cancelled. We were on foot, no car. They said they could book us into a neighbouring hotel so I said 'do that then'. I wasn't sure they would so I booked it myself to be sure of a bed for the night. They apparently did not contact the other hotel until 10.30pm. See above

Location Room 3 was very small the bed springs were poking in you and making awful noises when you move .food very expensive for what you got everything was extra cost even vegetables which should of come as standard with some dishes didn’t be prepared to pay London prices for beer

breakfast was excellent. nothing.hotel and accommodation fine.

Staff very helpful. Great food. Good location. Very expensive for drinks. Cheaper across the road in the Racehorses.

Great breakfast, warm, cosy place in a beautiful location.

The Blue Bell is a quaint and charming old inn full of character. The rooms are tastefully renovated to a high standard with plenty of hot water and pressure for the shower in the full ensuite bathroom. The staff are amazing! Very friendly and helpful. The morning breakfast was great! Freshly made and very flavorful. It is probably unavoidable, being a 17th century building, but the walls are a bit thin. Not too bad, though, since there are only 6 rooms. And really no problem at all if you don't sleep past 7 or 7:30. And why would anyone sleep in when there is so much beauty and fresh air to enjoy during the day outside.

Location, evening meal, staff generally friendly and helpful Uncomfortable beds, noisy room hearing sounds from above and next door rooms, WiFi worked only occasionally and no mobile data in the area, not much selection for breakfast.

Excellent food choices on the menu for evening meal. Not just the usual food options, I was impressed. the mattress was a bit bony and the pillows were old and flat.

Excellent breakfast. Also had an evening meal - very good.

The place. The ambience. The attitudes. The lack of fuss. The food. My room. ... Do you need me to go on? I'm not sure it could have been better but the parking spaces were pretty tight, even when other cars were parked carefully.

Expensive Food a tad greasy for my liking

We arrived on a Sunday and the staff were amazing, there were only 2 people on during the day and evening and they never stopped. They were friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. I ordered a veggie breakfast and there were no veggie sausages, only one more mushroom and half a tomato more than the traditional breakfast, which was disappointing.
