Be aware that roosters, pigeons, and lizards frequently appear around the open-air areas, including near the lobby. It adds to the Key West experience, but some guests may want to know beforehand. My biggest concern was the incidental authorization process. I noticed an issue very early in our vacation and immediately reported it to the staff. They acknowledged that something had been processed incorrectly but were unable to resolve it at the time. Some authorizations also remained pending well after checkout, which was frustrating. Guests should understand the property's incidental policy and monitor their accounts after their stay. Overall, the resort is beautiful and breakfast is excellent, but the administrative issues negatively affected our experience. If visiting Key West again, I would probably choose a vacation rental with a golf cart included and prepare more of my own meals.

My favorite hotel in Key West. Beautiful beach and great staff.

Beds were fantastic and comfortable with great pillows. Nice 70" TV's Requested a microwave and they had it there in minutes. What they call a refrigerator is a simply a cooling box. So, I requested a small fridge and the nice assistant had it there in 3 minutes. Daily maid service was soooo very nice. Very clean when we would get back to the room. Towels were very nice as was the shower with all the shampoo, conditioner and body wash supplied. Another great feature was the lotion by the bathroom sink. Helped a lot when I got sun burned. Very quiet, never heard any other guest or any sounds. Black out curtains were a big plus as well. Pool was clean and nice. Beach had brown water which was disappointing but that is not the fault of the hotel. Just that time of year for seaweed etc. Self-Parking was pricy at $45 per night. That would be my only complaint. Great value for the price. I would definitely come back again and highly recommend them to others. Billy b

Some of the house keepers didn’t speak English which was occasionally a problem for us and other guests. Also, it would be nice if they had drinks and snacks available 24 hours because the marketplace closes too early and low a bit lacking. Once the marketplace closes closes you’re stuck with the bar or restaurant but who wants to order a pizza when all you want us some popcorn? Besides that, the place is beautiful and very well maintained. We had an enjoyable experience.

Very nice location. secluded from the busy Duvall st but close enough for a nice stroll to the restaurants and bars. NOT much of a beach. Seaweed all around the beach and water. Pool and bar were great.

Unfortunately, the beach on the property was completely unusable due to a seasonal issue known as sargassum. I understand there’s only so much they can do, but no effort seemed to be made to mitigate that like many other beaches in the area had accomplished. We visited two other beaches that were much better due to the use of cleaning machinery in the early mornings. The smell was extremely strong. If I had paid the extra money for a beach walkout I would’ve been incredibly disappointed. July, August, and early September are allegedly the worst times, and we visited in August, so summer vacationers take note. Bar inside and outside the hotel was great, pool was good, though the “family” pool was down while we were there so the one pool was pretty crowded and there was no way to escape the children.

Power outages at the hotel right after we checked in. We stayed on the 4th floor. Elevator only goes to 3rd floor. We have to walk through the skywalk but could bot continue due to steps and stairs to the room. We have to fet back down to the lobby and asked the doorman to help us. He only can access through the employee elevator to get to the 4th floor. Just not a great experience to start with. Small elevator space, barely can fit tje hotel cart with our luggages. Poor lighting at the entrance of the hotel. Uneven broken pavement on the entrance to the hotel. Too pricey plus resort fees and parking fees. Old hotel and need more modern updates and amenities.

Beautiful property away from the busy Duvall Street, but close enough to enjoy the nightlife. Also, the staff was very helpful, friendly, and accommodating. I wish they had more restaurant options, but overall we loved it.

Well, I don't like to complain, but if I had known that construction was going on at the hotel, I would have booked else where. The jack hammering and loud noise kept me up for days. I didn't appreciate it.

Sawngrum stinking, red tide. Horrible smell. The deposit for the property was way too high. The walls are paper thin. There’s cracks under the doors as if the rooms used to be all carpet but were poorly renovated with tile. You can hear everything and anything from the rooms next door to rooms above. The over all experience was very poor. Will not return

The hotel building and lobby are stunning. Unfortunately there was construction underway during our visit and one of the pools was closed. This coupled with the seaweed on the beach meant that there were not enough beds at the only pool that was open and we were not able to get beds at the pool during our stay which was disappointing. You could also hear the construction noise from the beds on the beach. If we had been notified of the construction and the pool closure before our stay we would have chosen a different hotel. A lovely hotel but sadly a disappointing stay.

Love the firepits by the beach and food

Everything was amazing just the shower head had some black stuff on it which the hotel took care of the moment we let them know but we had celebrated our honeymoon and it was 10000% worth it!

Incredible property. We loved the rich history of this hotel. The recent updates only made the property even more wonderful.

thoroughly enjoyed our stay

Great spot!

None of these inconveniences were disclosed when we booked. Had we known about the renovations, limited amenities, and elevator situation beforehand, we would not have booked this hotel. Definitely not worth the price, and we would not stay here again.

Beautiful property but beware, late June early July is seaweed season so you won’t be going in the ocean but the pools are very nice.
